2008 Road Star Silverado S 1700
came with hard saddle bags and the S is the crome package. I know I have one in my garage. I do know older modles had soft bags.

One Note: The AIS gave plugs to use for vacuum hose, 2008 is EFI with electrical connection so no vacuum hose to worry about. ( electrical connection taped up and out of the way) The Fi2000R gave plugs to plug up the intake hose of the AIS, I had removed the AIS so no need for that plug either.

I also have a 2008 Roadstar Silverado. Just did the following- Removed AIS easy as pie, Installed Cobra Fi2000R Fuel Controller, easy as pie, Installed Vance and Hines BIG SHOTS, easy as pie. Take your time - double check everything as you go - No REAL Problems just work thru it.

Nice sound, did you have to modify the jetting or remap the fuel injection? I have the identical bike. And for what it is worth, the "S" model gives it hard cases instead of bags and comes with the highway lights, this is a Silverado.

There was no problems at all.. The Vance & Hines came with the a place for the O2 sensors, all I had to do was remove them from the old pipes and install them on the new. It definately made a difference in the sound of course, but also seems to run stronger.

sounds great, did you have any problems with these pipes , since the stock ones have O/2 sensors and catalytic converters ?? I also have an 0'8 and was wondering how it would affect the bike .
