I can only agree, this is Michael's signature song. Tom does a credible version on the Angel Voices CD, but his voice doesn't have the tone or clarity of Michael. In my opinion Tom's best song is the Sancte from the New Dawn CD, incredible vocal technique. Libera can be very proud of all their boys but these two will set the standard for years to come.
I think you mean the Angel Voices live in concert DVD/CD because the Far Away sung on the 2006 Angel Voices CD (white cover with photo of Liam, Josh, Tom, Michael & Ed on the cover) is definitely by Michael - Tom sang it in at the Leiden concert after MH voice broke and he moved to the back row.

Unfortunately for you, The Choirboys have disbanded. The great thing about Libera is that it doesn't have such a short shelf-life. Ben, Patrick and CJ are very talented, but they didn't have Robert Prizeman writing original songs for them. That's another thing Libera has going for it.
I totally agree! Robert Prizeman is the musical genius behind Libera. Talented boy trebles will come and go...as witnessed by Libera changing soloists on key songs in the repertoire as boys' voices change. That info is very out of date. Ben and Patrick's voices changed several months (or even over a year) ago while CJ's more recently (Spring/Summer '07) changed, right after being promoted to Head Chorister at Ely.
Now "The Choirboys" are reforming with Andrew Swaite, William Dutton and Bill Goss signing on for "The Carols Album." Sounds good! I like a fair bit of Christmas stuff.
But if I had to pick, Libera would be my first choice every time. :-)

How cool to see them grow from babes in robes to the full rich voices they ar all becoming. This may be the firs generation of Trebs witnessed over that time. They are all outstanding. Great post.
