Ah...the summer of 81. I was in love with a gorgeous swedish girl, was smoking my stuff, was all of 18 and didnt give a shit about the world. Loved this bloody band! My youth! and that sound....aaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
This was the 1st Album me mam bought me(porcupine) Xmas 81,Ha fuck me i was 10 I even had a t-shirt on in the juniors sports day with the T Shirt PORUPINE on, and a pair of Mr men trainers on Ha,
Me sis played them that much it rubbed off has it does..They was the days. The music then seems well better,Is in my Eye's,proper Indie
The Cure is such a ,EATB cover band, total rip-off..That dude, damn I can't beleive that EATB, never got the same coverage, in the states that is, I'm sure they had a bigger presencse in London Town, and such.. Killer stuff...shit is still relevent...cool,cool..
ok..who was first, honestly I do'nt know, but the sound, the hair, the physical appearance dancing and such, very similar....both are awesome bands, no doubt, Smith is a great song writer, but I see and hear a heavy influence...
Love this still... and always will.

At first I thought the fact one had to scroll to see the whole thing might be part of the deal but then
I saw that in Firefox it's centred.
Still, beautiful as a flower and bee

none should ever feel guilty for a "Complete waste of time and energy." one should celebrate the majesty of such a freedom.

The Cure and EATB are both great bands but I'm not sure I'd call The Cure a rip-off of EATB.

Very haunting. I used to listen to these guys all the time in the 80s. This brings me back to those days. What great music it was...

Their greatest song from their greatest album - Heaven Up Here. With love to Bunnymen everywhere

Great song. I used to get Echo and The Bunnymen confused with Joy Division.

It's funny how underplayed these guys were in the 80's. I was into them since 81 and still have them on CD in my car.
