My Father died six about six weeks after Senator Kennedy did. My Aunt, my Dad's sister died one month before. I watched this funeral and cried so hard. This speech and Maria Shriver's speech at her Mother's funeral helped me get through this. The Kennedy children showed so much grace during these family tragedies. Two weeks apart. My tragedies were 2 1/2 months apart. My Father's death dropped me to my knees for the first time in my life. I know what you are going through and God Bless.

It was a tragic accident. Both parties had been drinking. Ted Kennedy spent his life trying to atone for the accident, which never would have been blown to such colossal proportions were it not for the "air pocket" theory.

My Father died six about six weeks after Senator Kennedy did. My Aunt, my Dad's sister died one month before. I watched this funeral and cried so hard. This speech and Maria Shriver's speech at her Mother's funeral helped me get through this. The Kennedy children showed so much grace during these family tragedies. Two weeks apart. My tragedies were 2 1/2 months apart. My Father's death dropped me to my knees for the first time in my life. I know what you are going through and God Bless.

It was a tragic accident. Both parties had been drinking. Ted Kennedy spent his life trying to atone for the accident, which never would have been blown to such colossal proportions were it not for the "air pocket" theory.
Bottom Line: Senator Kennedy was tried and given a sentence for failing to report the accident immediately. If you don't like the sentence, your resentment belongs with the court.

It disgusts me that Catholics are so 'angry' that Ted Kennedy was given Catholic funeral rites.
1. a Requiem mass is to pray for the soul of the deceased - whether he was good or bad, great or small is irrelevant.
2. Christ taught that we are to have MERCY on others....and I find none of that in the attitude of Catholics on this matter.
I do not care WHAT he did/did not do....he is a man who has died. Our mercy.....our prayers...for him are required.
