That clip seems pretty old on one hand though - and since I've never heard him say anything remotely like that recently, I have to wonder if he has since changed his position on it. The ratification of the 16th Amendment is just simply not up for debate. That holds as much water as challenging the fed because of the whole Jekyl Island conspiracy (which I personally believe it was).

But still am 100% skeptical that taxes are somehow illegal.

This would be the same as saying in a grand larceny indictment: All items that has a cost of over 1000 dollars is a grand larceny. Notice i did not say what the stolen object was.

4) The appellate courts are confuse: One courts says that the subject of the tax is income, the other says that the subject of the tax is the activity that produced the income. According to supreme court cases the subject of the tax is the activity that produces an income (indirect tax, aka excise tax)

1) 4th Amendment says that if you charge with a crime you be informed of Nature and cause of the crime.

2) In all IRS indictment they never state the subject of the tax. They dont inform the defendant what is being tax. Imagine a criminal indictment for grand larceny and the prosecutor never mentions what it is that you stole.

3) Some IRS indictment say: What ever source derived from. Another words the make it so general that it looks official. This would be the same as saying:

This system was set up by bankers. The bankers make so much money with the support of the Federal Reserve and the Fractional Reserve process that they are able to buy courts and politicians. The bankers finance politicians to pass law for them. Some of the laws are constitutional illegal. But no one challengers them. Money is everything in politics. Another thing is that the bankers buy up everything that has to do with informing the people. So we are kept ignorant and in debt.
