Oh no, they're adding things to the game, they're trying to bring it up to speed after all the years of Lineage 2, would you rather they made it free to play so all the idiots started playing? It looks fine to me, apart from the horses, horsies don't belong in Lineage but it reminds me of Epona from Ocarina of Time.

If you played Lineage 2 for anything more than the graphics style, music track, or sound effects, then you played it for the wrong reason. It still has Lineage style combat sounds, movement is still the same. Apart from the graphics bump which I don't think it needed, but cmon less and less people play L2 on the official servers, they're thinking about the future getting other people on it. Actually I hate that that's what they're doing, I love Lineage because assholes don't like hardcore MMOs.

this isint l2 anymore l2 survived high five but this this pure 100% aion its not good i will stick to c5 and gracia epilogue the real lineage to clients and i dont think this was a real gameplay it was a treiler about how it all started and if its true then we still ahve to have hope that l2 is alive and well :)

well the "real" Lineage II team left some years ago to BlueHole studios.. TERA looks MUCH more like Lineage than AION from NCSoft or Lineage does today.

Yeahhh. That would be so neat. Especially that ut2 engine is so old and slow... Crysis, with everything set to max + morphologic antialiasing forced in drivers to make already almost photo realistic graphics and in resolution of 1920x1200 - never drops for me under 25fps... L2 in small window goes to 5 fps in some places... on 6 core PC@4ghz, with radeon 6970... Doesnt look that bad, comparing to most other mmos... but after 10 years, they should finally update engine...

And those "exciting" parts of the game will likely be less than a 1% of the whole game. Korean mmorpgs are a lost case of endless grinding with tons of eye-candies. And it's not going to change because this is what appeals to the Korean players. L2 is a dead game outside Korea. With 2 ghost-town servers left, nothing is going to bring back L2 to the tiny shed of glory it ever had.

I won't even comment on people who play a parody of a game which is already a parody of mmo-gaming. Because that's what private servers are. After playing numerous mmorpgs it is quite clear tp me that WoW beats all other by far. With so many things to do it outshines L2 which is an endless story of going from one mob to another with the addition of poorly implemended raiding and completely unrewarding pvp feature. Though the best thing to do with your life is not to play any mmo at all.

@antartis The L2 anniversary edition said it had 17kk unique subscribers. WoW has more subscribers on this hemisphere, you being Argentinian only hear about WoW - On Asia- Europe they play more games then Wow which is aimed at Americans- so grinding, animation, and gameplay is different.

Not very many companies deep down care about their customers. They'll publicly show they love them, but behind closed doors they don't care as long as they get the money, just like a Government towards the general public. I think they will definitely keep the main things that made Lineage 2 unique, and it will still be fun, hopefully.

@ShadikX Delusional. Whole Oly system is enjoyable for like 1% of playerbase. World PvP that isn't rewarding players in any way. World may be huge but most of it are flat unimaginative zones filled with randomly scattered mobs, and most of them aren't even visited by anyone anymore. There may be lots of classes but apart from few archetypes most of them hardly differ from each other and class balance is terribly handled. Sorry but L2 doesn't have much to offer. It's a generic all-grind MMO.

I assumed you played it. Not to do some run of the mill saying, but it's an acquired taste. Personally I play it because of how to looks, armor looks great, weapons look great, combat is very satifying which is something I can't say for a lot of other MMOs. Music is quite varied and the atmosphere the game gives for me is fantastic. I'm an atmosphere guy. That is why I think it's fun, it isn't for most people which is another reason I like it since over half the internet are retarded.

I love the latest l2 version, Freya. But this... is just a copy of Aion as I can see... I think the only way that ncsoft have to raise this game again is to "aionize" lineage 2.
