One of my favorite bands. Check out StonerRockSunday.podbean.com for my podcast. In the last episode we did our top 5 albums of 2000 - 2009 and they were in it!
lol i really had no idea this many people liked torche. i was never a huge fan but i do love in return and mentor. of course baroness and mastodon are two favs or i wouldnt be commenting in agreement, i agree baroness and mastodon are great
You've done a terrific job here. The video "matches" the evolutionary, progressive, vibrant feel of this incredible song. I Love this band, and your've done 'em good.
I'd love to give you some constructive criticism but I don't have any. That video was so good that it made me like the song more, which is what I think bands are looking for. I hope this gets you some job offers!
Fucking love Baroness, this is their best song if you ask me, along with 'Steel That Sleeps the Eye/Swollen and Halo'. Also, nicely done on the video, guy.
Wow! Blown away by this video, well done.Only criticism I have is-Why isn't this the official video, better than anything on MTV...you know when MTV used to play videos.Great Job!
One of most amazing and spectacular music videos of all time. Inspiring, perplexing, and phenomenally correct in it's most amazing beauty! That there are infinitely gigantic universes in the smallest places foretells the eternal expressions the cosmos has to offer, even in the what seems infinitesimal!!!
Damn.. Did anyone else notice that our solar system within that vastness was just as an atom within our bodies from the distance of about a meter away? we are solar systems :P
some people go on about who's best, Baroness or Mastodon, i don't give a shit, they're both two very good bands and way better than most of the metal bands that have massive followings.
Metal for me has always inspired awe and wonder in the face of Nature. This is a very special video in my opinion. Progressive, forward, outside the box thinking from one of the most brilliant writing bands out there. Simply put, beautiful.
I always associate this song with mountains and rivers. It's really cool to see some other dude putting together images with different perspective from mine and still make sense! Thanks for a beautiful video bro!
I hadn't watched past the 3 minute mark previously, but as an architect and a Baroness fan, I was pleasantly surprised by the insertion of the Eames' "Powers of Ten" portion. Good stuff.
These guys remind me of mastodon a lot (which I like), but they're just different enough. It's nice to hear some great modern metal that isn't some retro throwback for once
Saw them last night with Earthless. Both were fucking epic. This video is awesome, man. Very calming and soothing. You did this song justice, my good sir. :D
wow. i have never listened to baroness before, just read about them in spin. that was freakin great. totally smoked all mainstream "rock". to the poster who saw them open for clutch... you might be one of the luckiest people alive. i will be following this band closely! oh yeah kickass video too!
Nice video...I'm going to see these guys in a couple of weeks. So far this is my favorite song of theirs. What is the vapor-venturi thing shown at 1:27?
I think it's ocean waves crashing over lava...just came back from seeing these guys. They blew the doors off of the place - there were 2 bands on before them & they didn't go on until 11:30, but everyone was there for them & no one else got the cheering & applause that they got...
yeah baroness is an amazing band, i wasnt a huge fan of the red album, truth be told i prefer the first album, however rays on pinion is amazingly written especially the opening of the song, good taste
god, this song is so amazing, Baroness is just simply awesome, and they are just something else live, I saw them with Opeth. About twice as good live.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i would prefer more nudity!!!
i like the flower thing on the beginning doing the waterdrops stuff the most!!! that realy got me. the whole clip gets too epic, for me the nice baroness guys play a more ruff music (thinking of summer that sexy beast DIS SUMMER).
but its well edited and you can see the hearddrops of the cutter. i think for pelican (the non southern lord recordings) that clip would be a bullseye. but anyways, well done. i still love that neurosis style with explosions, hurricanes, disasters yes i know, it's old fashion and 100 times shown.
I don't mean to dis on this band cause I think they are friggen brilliant but doesn't from 1:25 on sound like part of the opening for Beavis and Butthead???
haha, i remember that 10s of power video from my 7th grade math class, wish the video had more to do with the song like the flowers and the landscape fits the song but then your in space, i dunno, whatever your style is I suppose.
