OK, I HATE WHEN PEOPE say omg tannings bad it causes cancer. well people doctors have really said now that there finding bed tanning to be better for you then tanning outside, because its less harmful to tan indoors while tanning outside leaves you with skin damage because you outside longer in the sun then in the sun beds. DUH!

That tanning bed looks awesome! and for all you idiots out there that think tanning is bad um hello you need vitamin D! you get sick without it, why do you think people that live in a hot climate aren't ever depressed because they have sun and get the nutriton they need from it. you just have to watch how much time you spend in the sun wether it's outside or in a tanning salon, but there is nothing wrong with tanning.

Oh and people who usually bash tanners need to educate themselves more before believe what the media feeds to you by brainwashing you with lies. Don't believe me? Then check it for yourself at Tanningtruth. com I also want to add that high pressure beds are PROVEN to be significantly gentler and safer for your skin. They hardly have any UVB which is what is the worst for skin. Spray tans are orangish ( even the newer ones still make me ORANGE). Tanning is my only vice, And I do it occasionally.

First of all anything in excess is bad for you. The people who bash are so quick to bash tanning or UV THERAPYm are probably the also ones who poison themselves with fast food or drink too much, but yet you criticize tanning. I know someone who NEVER tanned and died from skin cancer. The media lies to you about things like this and other way more important topics. Its propaganda. Bottom line for me is that I look better and feel better tan. I dont smoke or drink. Let me enjoy my tan.

@upajos actually, tanning lotions aren't all the same. Some are accelerators which intensifies the UV rays so that the tan happens faster. The lotion I use is actually called a bronzer or something like that, but anyways I have never burned using it, so apparently it does help prevent burning

@upajos False, tanning lotions used in salons DO NOT contain any sunblock. They contain moisturizers and bronzers to give you a dark tan. Using a sunscreen in a tanning bed would be pointless.

babyluigimario ...Good question! But the facts are that not all tanning beds are created equal. There is a great need for vitaminD which tanning beds provide and some beds are made so there is little to no risk of cancer if you don't cook yourself like a lobster in it. Check out Dr Mercola on the vitaminD question. I am sure you'll be surprised like I was.

@tidyboy13 It doesn't need to be a bed. It can also be constructed as a cabinet. You stand inside and slowly turn around to get even exposure. For those with a little know-how with fluorescent lamps and carpentry, it should be a fairly simple construction project. The hardest part might be obtaining the UV-emitting tubes.
