I got my jeep patriot 0-60 in 8.2 seconds.. I used a professional piece of equipment to count for me, and I managed to get 8.2, but I think I can do better if I turn off the traction control..

It gets 17mpg because the MDS cuts 4 cyls down when cruising, thats why the EPA rates the 5.7 Hemi the same as the 3.7 V6. You sould also consider in witch country the car i beeing bought and used. i Norway a Jeep Patriot Limited with 2.0L diesel engine and FD1 costs 380000 NOK. thats almost 56000 USD! Who would pay that for a jeep patriot? And a Jeep Commander Overland with 7seats and 3.0 diesel costs over 150000 USD! And the reason for these prices are that the government takes polution tax on every new car. And these American POS vehicles are not accectly eniviromental friendly.. -Jeep Commander owner :-)

But compared to European cars the build quality of Jeeps are terrible! all hard plastic! My wife has a Ford Kuga and i recently bought my daughter a Peugeot 3008. By comparison these two European models offer a better build quality, better comfort, less noisy and a much MUCH lower MPG. But i love my Jeep!
