Not entirely true my friend, Hasek was a huge rule no doubt, but the sabres scored key goals at key moments, and were simply on a roll at the right time, the team played well, I just wish they could do the same at the current moment

My Leafs got SMOKED by the Sabres in the '99 ECF...overall though, I enjoyed their playoff run, Sabres were simply the tougher, more physical team in the end......

lol, yea ur rite. but think abt it, i think we shoulda had game 1. that game was really entertaining. hasek was injured, mats scored 2 and buffalo played terrible D, unfortunately cujo wasn't himself.:( if we won that, we could've gone into buffalo up 2-0 which woulda but pressure on them.

Agreed, Leafs had a chance to draw 1st blood in the series on home ice; instead, they only came away with a split. Buffalo was near unbeatable in their home rink that year in the playoffs........
