@blackaries Yeah, it is silver. I figured out pretty quickly how to get it to sound pretty good. (Combination of EQ, turning off the reverb trails, and replacing them with a reverb plugin)
The dynamics were mostly done by simple MIDI velocity, but to change the volume while a note is playing, it's simple volume automation for the track.
@jazzmatik I use an M-Audio Oxygen 49. I like it a lot. It isn't weighted, but I've gotten used to playing un-weighted. Weighted is definitely better (my piano is easier to play), but the keyboards can be a lot more expensive.
Right on. I'm trying to decide what to get, but I'm leaning towards weighted. Do you know if the Roland RD700GX can be used as a MIDI keyboard for EWQL software?
I looked at the product page, and it says "In addition, you can connect directly to a PC via USB..." EWQL's Play engine will accept any MIDI input, so it should work perfectly.
Oh wow, thanks so much. I needed a second opinion on that. I think that is what I'm going for then, albeit a bit pricey, but I need the weighted action.
damn this is a masterpiece....i love it....i gotta get that stormdrum asap.lol i love melodys like this.... this is tha kind of sound i am tryin to acheive because im a producer and i love my music to sound cinematic..... man i love it....
Just an amazing composition, its strong and powerful but not overloaded...Also it has got a huge amount of tiny details and of course the mastering is professionally done!
Jeremiah, you made a great work, I think it's really suitable for an epic movie, I imagined the scenes before, during and after a conflict between ancient romans and their enemies during the last days of roman empire... very good!
good job friend! you used logic pro?

Try making the melody stand out more..maybe a bit more repetition with the melody as well. Sometimes it sounds a bit randomized

How do you stand using Cubase? I spent hours moving notes. I got so frustrated. I am not proud of it, but I can only use FL Studio.

Pretty sweet stuff man, it's easy to listen to; nothing too complex or confusing. Nice work! Keep it up.

Sounds super realistic. What type of MIDI keyboard do you use? Is it better to use a weighted or non-weighted?
