  • As usual the bad guys can't shoot worth shit

  • Wow! The old World Trade Center in New York. That may have been the best use of that landmark on film ever!

  • @UuTube2 Watch the 1976 King Kong

  • Pre-911 era.

  • i totally remember when they came to new york it was crazy and the big news then seeing the old world trade center brings it all back

  • oh shit tubbs smashed coffy

  • That guy in the green shirt has been around. I remember him from Ghost.

  • Yeah "Doctorbuckner" I agree. I only wished that my BREN-TEN sounded like that :):):). Oh well, it is a good shooter, which is MOST important. I don't shoot it much any more, with the rarity an all. Mine is the 45ACP version, and not the 10mm. I always liked how Sonny would use relatively good trigger discipline. He NEVER worried about what the "DESK COPS" thought during a firefight, and he always ensured that the threat was neutralized before ending the fire fight.

    BRAVO SONNY!!!!

  • Luis Guzman! One of the most underrated actors ever.

  • @NewarkNation What he said! Always liked this guy.

  • Classic scene! *The instrumental music is by Jan Hammer, and the 2 CD set of "The Music of Miami Vice" is a MUST for fans!

  • Crockets Gun makes the coolest sound!

  • @doctorbuckner totaly agree

  • thta helicopter almost hit the twin towers but this is before 9-11 so it does not mean anything.

  • Crockett goes off to shoot down a helicopter. Tubbs goes off to fuck.

    Awww right!

  • This has Heat all over it. Go Michael Mann!!!

  • time to die...

  • MY BOY ALWAYS DRESSED WELL!

  • 0:44 that looks alot like the big metal ball thats used to destroy the posh cafe in fight club.

  • @GoinDownToJunkieTown That metal ball sculpture was destroyed on 9-11, the what survived of the sculpture is now displayed in Battery Park, NYC.

  • Had this 2 parter had a more imaginative subplot than C&T's love life,it could have been pretty good. The ending of the episode is so cringeworthy when phil collins ''take me home'' is playing over ridiculous love scenes between thomas and grier.Another wasted opportunity, too bad, alot of great scenes, realistic gun fights(not this one)It just doesn't work overall

  • Ol Tubbs puttin in some fine shotgun work......

  • Freeze.......Then Jan breaks out the keyboard....

  • I love this sweet version of "Tubbs & Valerie" but is not available in the Jan Hammer album's:(

  • Wow, the bad guys seem to be shooting blanks.

  • Twin Towers @ 4:58 Rico then gets some!

  • man tubbs sure did hde that sawed off shotgun well.

  • Yagamuri18, can you please upload the rest of this episode? I am searching for that piece of the episode for a long time!

  • It's on hulu now.

  • Prodigal Son is the best epsiode of Miami Vice

  • The bronze globe sculpture was recovered after 9/11 and is now in Battery Park, it think.

  • In the 90s they have The X-Files..truly good stuff...but never again since Miami Vice, there´s a show that changes so much: Music, Style, cutting, Light ... The thing is: If I watch an episode I do not miss my cell phone!

  • GET IT TUBBS

  • The final chase remainds me the end of "HEAT", when Pacino follow Deniro. In fact, when I saw "HEAT", a lot of Miami Vice ´s scenes came to my head.

  • Jan hammer is a fantastic composer.I love this song!

  • Does anybody know the title of tune in 6:06 ?? :D

  • Unfortunately Not title...Is the extract of sound composed by Jan Hammer.Reproduced only in this episode(The Prodigal Son)3 times and the final of song "New York Theme"!

  • I greatest show ever on TV. Some of these episodes never cease to amaze me.

  • James " Sonny" Crocket. Ricardo Tubbs. MIAMI VICE!

  • fuck yeah Jan Hammer

  • The tune at 6.06 is awesome, is there somebody who no more about it .

    Thanx

  • I agree with you pal. The tune is superb

  • Post 911; this scene that was already quite eerie is now even more so.

  • ok...why this cut off at the BEST scene??? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • The love scene is also in my youtube channel as a separate video.

  • La mejor serie de la historia, pura estetica,la musica envolvente de Jan Hammer y la colaboracion de muchos actores y actrices no consagrados en aquel momento y de varios cantantes populares.Saludos desde Tenerife!

  • CALIDAD PURA !!!

  • i love when pam grier pops up to help, but i always found it strange they would choose what would be a so open place for a major drug transaction (world trade center plaza)

  • this is a great post
