well i can't give you any advice because the best way to play an instrument is however suits you. if you find a specific way comfortable, than play it that way. it might not work for other people but if it works for you, that is the most important part.

Im currently doing a duet with a friend of mine. Im doing it on the violin and my friend on the piano. I can only do vibrato on my third finger. Would you advise to...not use vibrato at all, attempt to learn to use other fingers or change posistion?

I would try to learn how use other fingers because you would need to know how to do vibrato on other fingers sooner or later. But of course you have to do whatever you're more comfortable with...

You guys definitely have some talent, but before uploading a video of your performance, you should definitely study the song you're playing and at least try to arrange the music in a way that would bring the best out of the instruments you're playing (in this case, a violin duet). Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to show off your talents as much as you probably intended to.
