  • Well said..I'm one that is reaching the light ..its been over a yr..people painkillers are evil..they might fun at first

  • Good video , thanks for caring enough about people to take the time to make your video

  • 2:10-2:21 YES!!

  • Damn 500 character limit...

The pharmaceutical companies are making HUGE profit off it to.

  • If you ask me I think we have been indoctrinated into believing are EMOTIONS and personality traits are "disorders".

If your feeling the normal emotion of sadness, then you have a disorder called depression and you need to take a Rx drug for it.

If you get angry easily and you have a short fuse, well thats not your personality, you just have "bipolar disorder" and you need to take a Rx drug.

So your kid is acting hyper, well here's some amphetamines.

  • I'm choosing to post a comment to you, letting you know first hand, from someone dealing with a prescription pill addiction, that it is easier to obtain Vicodin, Percocet, Vyvanse (a much more potent ADD medicine, it is actually an amphetamine), and a whole different array of drugs than it is to buy any other illicit drug most parents still believe their children may be using. And another thing to keep in mind, I never have to pay for anything. It's almost like candy- it's everywhere I look.

  • Someone finally has some brains!!!!!! I am so sick of hearing ADD, OCD and all the other three and four lettered diseases. I've been told that doctors reap the benefits at the end of every year for the amount of prescriptions they write and fill every year. Expensive drug dealers with a college education. Forget about the allies and ghettos.

  • Basically just an exploitation of the human tendency to do drugs. Its part of human culture and always has been. But growing up in this morally opressive civilization, we have a double standard on drugs(and alot of other things.)

  • I say legalize everything for anyone who pays for them. Thats freedom. But once again, societys moral insecurities have allowed another freedom to be stripped away. If everything were legal, the market would regulate itself. In time, people would learn which drugs are harmful and the demand for those drugs would vanish, leaving only the ones society found beneficial on the market. But oddly enough, the war on drugs offers more profit than a free drug market does.

  • By creating this illegal drug hype, the demand for whatever is illegal increases. Its reverse psycology. The parents and police say drugs are bad, and every other teenager is doing them. In most teenagers eyes, this makes doing drugs the cool thing. The black market causes prices to increase. The cia smuggles in drugs. The law enforcement agencys make insane profits enforcing laws. This is much better for the government than just taxing companys that sell drugs legally.

  • I agree with your thoughts and comments, to a degree. You need knowledge in this before preaching. I mean "Oxycontin capsules". Incorrect. I was on Ritalin in the 60s. I needed it. It took the screams away I heard in my head. I am drug free today, been for decades. As I said, I agree with much, but get more knowledge. Nothing is black and white. Peace on,,,,,,,

  • Thanks for the comment. Like you, I agree with your thoughts and comments, to a degree. Part of how I gain my knowledge is by posting here on YouTube. I do not claim to be offering an expert opinion. If I waited until I had expert knowledge on everything, I would never post a video, because I am a firm believer that there is always something more to learn... and, yes, I had a neighbor who had oxycontin capsules. They do exist. I also agree that Ritalin is helpful in some cases, just not all.

  • This dude is right. I can get some morphine or an 80mg OC before I can get a fucking budwiser WTF. Legalize weed and maybe I will go to the store and but some joints before I run to my guy and buy a script of pills.

  • doctors wayyyyyyy over diagnose people. the people who really do need it, should get it, but they realllllly need to make sure the person has the illness before they prescribe.

  • Great point. And I think a lot of doctors prescribe pills when pills aren't needed. My little cousin is SO NOT ADD but my aunt has him on ADD medication. My friend was going through a bad breakup and her doctor prescribed her anti-depressants that made her nose bleed.

BTW I couldn't believe when I learned you could be drug tested for a job in the United States! Seems like a crazy invasion of privacy, but that's another topic ;)

  • great great great point!

  • This is my text comment on prescription drugs.

...yeah, that seemed funnier before I typed it, but it's not really a humorous topic at all.

    :-/

  • yea try telling this to your average soccer mom...

  • I definitely agree. I know sellers who walk around with their pockets filled with bags of pills. I wont even touch tylenol unless I feel bad for a day or two. Prescriptions drugs are getting easier and easier to get into the market, and most of the time they are not tested well enough to know what side effects they are really giving people. Soon we will be living Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.

  • You're really right on this one. Getting a hold of Rx drugs is really easy, more so with a Mom like mine. She takes like, 20 different types, Vicodin being one of them. I'm not saying I use them, because I don't. If anything, I'll take an Ibuprofen if I've shut my finger in a door (that was about a week ago) or if something hurts after Tennis Practice. Shame that a lot of kids out there just use the drugs because they can't find anything better to do.

  • I saw a sign that said "Drug Free Workplace" at the local pharmacy. So I took my prescription someplace else.

  • YaY! a Vans shirt! (I miss my Vans)

And AMEN to the Rx drug abuse goin' on. Doctors hand out xanax like they were candy these days.

My son took ritalin when he was diagnosed with ADD, and it's supposed to have an opposite effect on a child, but I could see it was speeding him up. I took him off of it when I didn't know where the drug ended and the kid began. He's drug free now, but it worried me back then.

Have a good Monday, you night owl you.
