@bestamerica back when IBM was still in the biz they started the whole "Personal Computer" thing with Microsoft. Back in the late 90s they dropped windows as their partner and became just another OEM. Then in around '05 they completely dropped out of making PCs and sold their last line, the Thinkpad, to a small company in China called Lenovo which means "The new Giant" or "Reborn Giant". Lenovo is now the 2nd most popular computer manufacturer in the world.
