I'm glad DST do not have the rights to this model, Yes they make fantastic ships but their distribution is woeful, I waited 8 months for the Enterprise D to only be told they were not going to be sending them here to the UK.

Every time time they say a new model would be coming out it gets put back, Then back again and than back again. I have had arguments with DST in the past about the lack of manufacturing and distribution and they just do not care.

For me a big upgrade would be to be able to plug it in so I can display the ship with the lights on for however long I like. I want the lights to stay on. Also having stand alone sound effects like Phasers, Photons, Warping, Beaming People up etc. would have been nice. I would like to see a just a little higher end 16" version that has the features I mentioned above.

TA, I agree with everything you say, but I do like this little toy. It makes a nice display model. Im satisfied with it.

QMx will make two replicas of the new Enterprise with FAR better quality than the Playmates version: QMx and QMx Artisan. Both will be hand-painted and of studio quality.

"QMx" will be the smallest and cheaper of the two. But no lighting.

"Artisan" will be the largest of the two (@ 1:350 scale; almost 3 feet long), have superior lighting, illuminated shuttle bay, and even spinning warp plasma in the nacelles.

Don't know if they'll have sound tho.

I agree with your thoughts about this ship. It would be much more interesting if the lights just stayed on instead of blinking. Also, does the bridge dome itself actually light up? I am wondering whether or not to take this back to ToysRUs, as mine does not seem to light up. The bridge dome also serves as the button, which seemed to stick at first for me. Thanks for your review!

Haha that was a pretty good Chekov impersonation man. I'm on the fence about this ship. I want it pretty bad because I love the design but I don't think it's worth the $30 price tag. Thanks for the review it was really helpful.

I like this Enterprise a lot better than the awful E model from First Contact, which is in my opinion the worst Enterprise ever!

Would someone be so kind as to please inform me as to the sequence of lights that occurs with each of the four sounds? I ask because I cannot see them, though I absolutely adore this model and its fabulous sounds.

Personally, I love this ship and want one very much. Maybe you should replace the sounds, install a new circuit board with other sounds. You could maybe even install your choice of preselected souns. At least, with the DST ships, you don't get four sounds at random, it's usually seven or eight in sequence. Whatever, it's still awesome and I want one!
