yeah, the gimmicks were pretty cheesy. Big Boss Man, the Genius, The Million Dollar Man, Brutus "The Barber" beefcake.... not like real people, but exaggerated characters in a story... now who (that wasn't a kid) believed Beefcake was REALLY a barber? Nobody, but it made storylines, angles, and wrestling a lot more fun to watch than it is now. They try to make it too realistic, and therefore boring nowadays.
