Went to visit my brother on a base in North Caroline which was stationed in the woods when I was ten and decided to rent this movie my first night there. Most fucked up two weeks of my life.
I actually really enjoyed the film, the acting is amazing, and I think it's due to the fact that there was never a clear script, most of it's just improvised by the actors, making all of their reactions very genuine :)
i read a book about it and i think it real, but not to sure if i want to watch the movie.
in the book (it called the complete book of witches and wizards) they were talking about how she died in 1786.what happened was that aparently right at the start was she lured most of the children individually and then pricked thier fingers with pins to get drops of blood. so they sent her out of the village. then all the ppl that sent her out of the village, half the kids, and the jury all disapeared...
One of the scariest, because it could actually happen. Getting lost in the woods is a real fear, then add hearing strange noises at night. The scene where something shakes their tent scared the shit out of me. So did the scenes when they hear Josh yelling for help.
So I ask what everybody asks.. Is this real? I mean like is this really happend and this is like copy of the happening so its like made in to movie? sorry my english. =)
