This song brings back memories. I saw The Cars live in Hartford and it was The BEST concert I've seen....and I went to numerous concerts back when I was young...every weekend when tickets were only $10-$15 and you had your choice of seating. They played for 3.5 hours..one song right into the next with only 1- 15min. break. Those were the days!!

I read a comment that said R.I.P. Ben ..Did he Pass away?? He was my favorite and so damn gorgeous!! Miss those days!

I was a senior in high school when "Fast times at Ridgemont High" came out This song reminds me of riding around with my best friend on Sat. night in his camaro on the strip and drinking beer. I'd hate to be a kid in these times. Now I ride in my Chevy Silverrado, am older, but still listen to the same music.

I find it strange that a lot of these older pop bands had such soulful, heavy bass rhythms that are quite comparable to a lot of hip hop from today. The Cars, Duran Duran, Tom Tom Club...all have some heavy songs. They just sound more poppy because of the synthesizer.

I saw The Cars in '84 my senior year with ... get this.... Wang Chung... It was fun, we stole a car and drank some cold one's. I remember that iconic stare that Rick used to give with those Wayfarer glasses, it was a time like no other in terms of music and me having a bad ass time. I was pretty much a bad ass and even dated two girls at once and I had THE leather jacket that baught the beer. My friend Robert Hamburger and I did some space coke and ended up on a different planet once---
