@alexvandillen that's awesome, the world needs many more people like you.... i want to do the same in the next couple of years as soon as it's possible
Ireland is such a small country, yet they have actively taken part in so many different humanitarian campaigns; God bless the Irish people, I think their years of war have made them very soulful people who understand the value of ife, and not just their own. Small groups of people do make a huge difference.
@fuckXtheXsystem It's a cultural thing. They don't know anything different. Local parents are caring for their kids. Bit they should be getting government Support which is heaps cheaper than running orphanages. Like DLA in the UK or SSI in the USA or a pension like in Ukraine or Russia.
@fuckXtheXsystem True. But Volunteers have shown the way forward. Remember the lives of these kids now actually are starting to resemble lives. Before these places were hidden "Houses of Horrors" where these kids were neglected and malnourished to death. The belarussian Government has announced it aims to close the institutions down, but the Volunteers are going to have to show them how. Some young Belarussians are increasingly volunteering themselves, so a new more positive die is being cast.
@fuckXtheXsystem This thinking is influenced by a shadowy "élite" who started off Social Darwinism and Eugenics. These Anthropological Paedophiles are still peddling their Toxic Wares to the Gullible.
A God did not do this....or stop it happening......man caused this accident - caused by a lack of understanding of the consequences of a nuclear accident and the safety measures that stop such an event happening. The true cost and suffering caused by this accident is immeasurable....far beyond any finiancial investment the safety measures that could have prevented it.....
1:51 looks like the little boys leg is broking as well. Really sad video. I'm Irish and i'm glad we're doing our bit to help all those that are suffering. Great job.
they are so worried about the children in africa but the kids in chernobly are suffering from radiation poisining and new borns that are gineticly damage are suffering to. no effense to the kids in africa i feel bad for them to. hunger can be subsided. radiation can not. the kids are permanently damaged for life
It's sad to think that the event's of chernobyl will never go away , i think when children get older i think it's important to explain to them what happened because if we dont they will grow up thinking power like nuclear power is safe everyone knows this is not always the case.
Despite the best efforts of staff and doctors, caregivers and volunteers, many of these children will not reach adulthood. The best we can do is insure that the quality of life they have remaining is one filled with love and care, comfort and dignity. I commend the efforts of all those who selflessly give of their time and effort to make that happen.
Again, let's do not make a discussion here about God, please. Let's keep it about these children. In case there is a God, He would probably disagree with making this discussion about Him. In case there is no God, then it woild make no sense. So, having a discussion here about God here since to be more self- promoiting than anything else.
Are we Human? Or are we dancer? I hate these people who force their religion on these poor kids! These kids come to you to improve their health, not to have BULLSHIT forced upon them.
Is there any way to get the radiation out of the kids. Because if there isn't the kids have a chance of reproducing and infecting the girl and the child with the radiation and the child may reproduce and it goes on and on
No there isn't as far as we're concernced nowadays yet. One option is to kill them but I don't think parents would admit to doing that. Unfortunately the kids look terrible, that was one of humanity's greater mistakes apart from wars etc.
All the beauty and horror of mankind must not be vested in basest of misconceptions. It is not God who blackens the world, our hearts, and our minds with disaster. We must not turn to God for relief from atrocity. For if we turn to ourselves, in some small measure, does not humanity redeem itself? The concept of a God comes from the notion that profound events are larger than the human scope. But through the rejection of this idea, human life becomes more beautiful than any downy lie.
This is so painful for me to watch, cos my mother is ukranian and was living in prypiat when this happened, and she has had cancer and my sister too and we don't know how this is going to affect us or in the future to our children. I'm also planning to go to ukraine and belarus and help this people to have a better life. So God bless you all for what you're doing there. Sorry for my english.
damn... this aint fair... i complain about going to work everyday and having to deal with life's bullshit.. but this.... farout... my eyes are wide open now
1martuska, first, chernobyl isnt Russia, its Ukraine-Belarus, 2-Putin rise the pency of chernobyl workers, my grandfather survived there, and he living now only cous of that pency..
Ass h----s like putin should be paying these families to take care of the chidren who are disabled and mentally challenged because of there sneaky experiments. The russian government swine are responsible for this tragedy!
Oh yes, there is a God, He didn start this tragedy, neither should he clean it up. Putin and his communist regiem should be made to pay for ALL of this, meanwhile my heart goes out to all the innocent children of this tragedy. If they will turn to God, and believe, the Bible says he will heal their land. A prime example of his power. and what he says, he will do.
i wish you lot wouldnt bring god into this. he hasnt helped them up until now, and he wont in the future. its these good people making the difference. not god.
Wrong only once,,, There IS a GOD, The children there havent been taught about him...yet. The reason YOU say there is not one is that you are totally ignorant of the fact that HE IS,,, and will ALWAYS BE..the one true God. That I will proclaim till my dying day, and if you keep that attitude up, Im sure you will find out, too late, that there is a God.
Thank you! Finally, someone who doesn't want to 'bless' these children. Prayers won't help them, Only science and medical technology will. Thank you for saying that, I agree, it's NOTHING to do with 'god(s)'.

And second, have you looked around lately? Things are happening everywhere, to everyone. We may not be able to make sense of it but it happens. Kids are born with disabilities, some may have been caused. Why? None of us know why. It isnt just THESE kids or people who suffer, everyone does. All im saying is God has a purpose, he is trying to tell us something. He wants us to care for eachother and things like this bring us closer together. Only he knows.
@TheCandylover345 yh everything around us is happening and these things are terrible yet god allows to continue to let it happen and he isnt acting as an intervention
