Maybe I would like this if the director knew anything about firearms and had some common sense. I doubt 95% of these hollywood directors or the idiots watching these films know how to shoot guns or how bullets affect flesh. These bad guys get shot over and over but keep coming, the bullets spark like roman candles, and the bikers keep their helmets on in the dark warehouse. Why would anyone look for a fight in the dark with no peripheral vision from wearing a helmet? Maybe I'm too cynical?

@HiCapacity That doesn't suprise me that most of you are amused by this. I on the other hand know for a fact that hand gun and small rifle bullets don't throw people back 10 yards and when bullets hit fiberglass parade floats the lead doesn't turn into a roman candle. Oh yeah, lead bullets don't explode objects on impact either. Movies like this are just exaggerations and should be only amusing to children and the like-minded adults.

This film's awesome! Along with Face/Off, this is Woo's best work in the US. Not perfect but great action and JCVD is badass in this! They really need to release the director's cut (Hopefully on blu ray) sometime in the near future.

For years I've been trying to figure out where the scene was cut from when Van Cleaf says "Look at it this way...you're gonna get to meet Elvis." Today, I think I've FINALLY figured it out.... it's an unused cut from the scene where Van Cleaf is cutting the money-belt off of Roper. So he was practically taunting Roper's corpse after having just been riddled with bullets! Makes me wonder what it would have looked like if it had been left in the final cut.
