  • Well done Dr. Purdom, thanks to people who search for the truth like you I came to know our Lord and Savior after being an atheist for 36 years. I believed the evolution lie and defended it dogmatically, I now praise Jesus every single day that He opened my eyes!

It's sad to see so many others are still blinded by satan, his trick is doubt and he plays his cards well. You have to ask Jesus to help you see the light and mostly (like in my case) it takes a lot of time, I didn't want to change!!!

  • did she just say there is a lot of C14 in diamonds as a valid point for anything? Holy shit is she full of ignorance.

  • Absolutely frightening; leading the evidence to the conclusion... Someone grab her degree.

  • Comment removed

  • What, her god can't differentiate between different levels of evil? Lying is no better or worse than murder, and vice-versa? Geez, he must either be really dumb or really cruel (or both).

  • 17:43 - She has a five-year-old child who's a guilty sinner?? I wonder if she tells her that on a daily basis? Probably does. Well, I hope her child never contracts cancer, because she's not going to get much sympathy from her crazy mother...

  • 13:53 - How did god make DNA? He just made it! I love that bullshit, especially coming from a scientist.

  • Man; Shermer has a hell of a lot more patience with this woman than I would have...

  • 1:24 - Oh, hell no, she definitely wouldn't say "evolution"! Could be anything else, but it absolutely CANNOT be evolution!

  • I'm sorry, but is it too coarse to say that it figures that this crazy place is in Kentucky?

  • You know, most people who spout nonsense are really just ignorant, and there's no crime in that. This woman is willfully stupid. She should be ashamed of herself for spreading what she has to know are lies. It's unconscionable that she would deliberately spread misinformation like this.

  • "The question is not why 85% of our most brilliant scientists reject God- it is why 15% do not". Neil DeGrass Tyson

  • I feel embarrassed for this woman. Theologically I'm closer to her faith position than Shermer's(so to speak) but in terms of scientific facts,I'm not entirely sure she even believes what she is saying--but Ken Ham is her boss & she HAS to tow the company line (so to speak!) I'm not a Shermer fan but I have to applaud his ability to keep a straight face. He must be thinking, "How did this lady earn her doctorate?" But as a former YEC, I understand the strength of peer pressure & tradition.

  • I hope that one day she can become enlightened and look back on this video with the horror that i have listening to her.

  • I'm a "research" scientist, too. When I want to explain phenomenon I "research" it by looking for a passage in the Bible that can be vaguely construed to explain it and that's about it.

  • Man, that is some messed up thinking.

  • Creation and museum.....

    Now there's a contradiction

  • She has a Phd in molecular genetics from Ohio State and she wastes her time spewing nonsense at the Creation Museum. Aaarrrgghh!

  • @AlanCFA Also, Dr Georgia Purdom does NO research. Read AIG's statement of faith. Even if she did, she would have to toss out all her observed results because they would conflict with her nonsensical and brainwashed religious views. She is fu**ing retarded.

  • @jknengr796 Good points. AIG likes to say that she has presented her research "...at two Microbe Forum conferences and the 2008 International Conference on Creationism. ..." Well the second one is obviously a a collection of Creationist nutjobs, but a little Googling shows that the "Microbe Forum" is as well.

Nice that she says that there were no pathogens in the Garden of Eden. So, did God create Adam and Eve with immune systems? If so, why? If not, did He go back and add it later on?

  • This woman is a genuine travesty against science and education. She clearly has wasted an incredible opportunity to learn by approaching science with a pre-determined mind-set. Her comments show so very clearly that she learned very little about the scientific approach to understanding life and now perverts it to support, once again, her predetermined view (religious mythology). As an educator, I'm sickened by her comments.

  • @stromatolite775 I fully and whole heartedly agree.. this woman is an egregious affront to her supposed profession. she does a remarkable disservice to education.. and to her own dignity .. she is being dishonest.. disingenuous.. a horrible reflection on her character.

  • it's magic!

  • It's a disgrace that she is even a scientist. Only in America! By the way, evolution is no longer a theory it's a FACT.

  • @plonk220a Evolution is no longer a theory, I agree. It's only a model. Theories have actual facts to support them.

  • @jsalverdachss I'm surprise you haven't crawled up in embarrassment with that statement.

  • @plonk220a Why would I be embarrassed?

  • @jsalverdachss The theory of evolution is a theory. It's a scientific theory based on actual facts. We calls these facts the facts of evolution. We call them the facts of evolution because evolution is a fact.

  • @jsalverdachss "Evolution is no longer a theory," Really?! I was out of town for a few days & away from most news but that announcement totally escaped my notice! Are all biology textbooks being recalled and rewritten? Did all of the evidence for evolution suddenly evaporate? I had no idea that it had been demoted from theory to "model".

Please reassure me that you are simply making a joke to mock YECS. (However, I tend to be kinder toward their position cuz I'm a former YEC.)

  • It seems like every person ever except herself and her colleagues "interpret" scripture. She and her friends are somehow special in _knowing_ exactly what God meant. Also interesting that she seems to imply coveting is on a par with murder.

  • He just lets her get away with her thin, flimsy explanations! I understand he's trying to be patient and nice, but wow - he lets her get away with a lot of circular reasoning and other fallacies. It's sad her evident intelligence is wasted in this way and that she thinks her daughter is fundamentally sick.

  • LMAO!

  • i don't understand how you can be a creationist while conceding microevolution, then not being able to see that all macroevolution is is microevolution on a longer timeline

  • Holy crap religion is scary.

  • This woman's ignorance beggars belief. She is a disgrace to academia.

  • Yes she has a PhD, Yes she is published in legitimate journals in molecular biology. What is absolutely concerning to the degree she holds is that she has 0 first author publications. You can be a high school summer student and get on a publication. Generally a PhD candidate produces at least one first author paper in their career and she has none.

  • I love her remark about her type of science not having anything to do with evolution so she wasn't uncomfortable. What about the entire scientific method? She accepts it for HER type of science but not for other types? It's a good thing we aren't having to rely on her to cure disease caused by pathogens - we'd be told we are sinners and that's what we get for eating that darn apple 6,000 years ago o.O

  • @BarbaraJD Don't forget that she's in genetics. That's the entire basis for evolution, and she doesn't see the link. It's like being able to add, but not being able to do calculus. Clearly she's stuck at hte elementary level.

  • @FarazR2 True, but she said she has a phD, how is that possible?

  • Shermer and the Skeptic movement (Jame Randi, etc.) are blessings for humanity. We need them now more than ever to reinvigorate the values of the enlightenment. "The demons are stirring." - Carl Sagan.

  • Wow. What a stupid, slovenly cunt.

  • @fdasherv It has nothing to do with her being female, and everything about being a religious nut brainwashed since birth.

  • @BarbaraJD I agree. But I don't ask forgiveness for using the C word. I apply it to both genders liberally.

  • @BarbaraJD And it this is no surprise she has not one first author publication... She has always been "part of the team." There a million technicians who are better scientists than she. Her committee was a soft one.

  • Yes, that's it kelco. It's Gump's dumb sister. We start off knowing the bibles true... Heh heh, it is to laugh.

  • Did Forest Gump have a sister?

  • The best part about this is that Shermer is playing dumb. He knows all the answers to his theological questions, because he was an evangelical christian when he attended the christian Pepperdine University. He only became an atheist in his 20s. So he already fully understands her perspective on the world.

  • Okay, so if it's not evolution, is it adaptation? And if so, would you say the bacteria are adapting to their environment? And how, exactly, is that different from the process of natural selection?

  • @Phi1618033 Natural selection gets rid of things but cannot create.

Variation is what all species have which gives us options in our design eg blue or brown eyes, skin colour, shape of nose etc. because we have 2 sets of genetic information, one from each parent. Mutation is what neo-Darwinists think creates new species by introducing errors into a genome. Many people have a problem with that as a mechanism as errors seldom create anything new and useful. Errors mostly cause disease.

  • @Mayburyj How does natural selection know to only "get rid of things" but not create? What exactly is the difference between change and creation? By the way, animal breeding contradicts everything you've said. In a matter of only a few hundred years, we've "created" dog breeds of unimaginable variety simply by exploiting variation in genetics. Just imagine the same process working over millions of years. The amount of variation is limitless. So, yeah, what you're saying is total nonsense.

  • @Phi1618033 natural selection is the process of the unfit dying or not being able to breed. This does not give new design information but it does remove mutations that are unhealthy.

Dog breeds are a good example of the inbuilt variations in the original design, We can demonstrate which part of the genome encodes for different characteristics, long hair, short legs etc. and w can show that a long haired dog can carry the code for short hair but that is not expressed.

  • @Phi1618033 Evolution however requires new design information to be made. the proposed mechanism for this is random mutation. Our human genome has 2 sets of genetic code 3 billion characters long that instructs our first cell how to build our bodies, wire our brains to our eyes, grow our knee caps in the right place etc. to make something new (like a wing) the instructions on how to make it must be made by this process of random mutations. video: learn genetics - animation - University of Utah

  • I feel bad for any of her children, they will have no chance in the real world.

Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - Religion kills brain cells...

  • 'We know from scripture that the universe is six thousand years old.' So how can we see stars that are thirteen billion light years away - ie, the light left them thirteen billion years ago. If the universe was six thousand years old, we could only see objects that were at most six thousand light years away. This is significant discrepancy.

  • "There would be no point because we KNOW god did it that way"

HOW CAN THEY EVEN TAKE THEMSELVES SERIOUSLY!?

  • That man must be a monk, because I could never remain that calm.

  • Agnostic's Perceptive: Where did Georgia Purdom attend college, at the holy bible university? Either way great discussion.

  • I wish that dude would stop shaking his fucking salad.

  • What's wrong with this woman?

  • I feel for her. She seems like a nice woman, and it must be difficult for her to know how small minded she will look on the video.

  • I am so impressed with Shermer's civility and patience in this discussion, and in other settings with opponents who are much less mature (like Dinesh D'Souza). I'm sure he hasn't changed Dr Purdom's mind about any of the topics discussed, but that wouldn't be accomplished either by yelling or browbeating her. I like to think that by calmly questioning someone's beliefs and following them to their logical conclusions, perhaps some reason might start to sink in.

  • how the f... can she call herself a scientist. unbelievable.

  • @lhurien The sameway homeopaths, chiropractors and acupuncturist can call themselves doctors. Ie, telling bold faced lies.

  • If you guys think this is a one-off you are wrong! Liberty University officially supports young earth creationism and is an accredited educational institution. Now it has every right to exist, but i find its existence absolutely astonishing. Just accept that creationism is mainstream guys!

  • My brother in law has a doctorate in paleontology from Stanford University. He works in the oil industry. Yet he believes that the earth is less than 8,000 years old. Go figure.....

  • She is not interpreting the bible? Yeah right! This is how intelligence and religious conviction live together in the same brain. They are non overlapping majesteria. Religious belief is based on a deep seated need to believe. It has nothing to do with intelligence. That is why you can't use intelligence to change a believer's viewpoint.

  • Wow anyone can get a Ph.D. these days. Creationists- retarding the world one Ph.D. at a time.

  • Their Universe is so amazing. Everything which has ever existed or will exist, every concept and every idea which can be thought... everything is God. Can you imagine how satisfied they must feel to not have to worry about anything, ever! The rest of us are fretting around as to how life came to be and how matter and time are intertwined and what's the ultimate fate of our species and the cosmos. They have that all sorted. They have all that free time to make dinosaur Jesus museums

  • Wow..one year is an evil sinner..our god is an awesome god..blah..blah...blaaah

  • PA HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHH AH AHAHA AAHHA AHH HA H H AH A HH AAAA A....AAHHHAHHHAHAHAAA... Sorry about that little outburst. Apparently I am also smarter than someone with a Phd. Do they give them away in cereal packets in Kentucky or what???

  • I was actually interested in reading that paper until she started throwing that creationist bullshite assumption around.

  • Comment removed

  • This woman is a dork. Shermers patience is the only godlike thing in this conversation.

  • The only thing, the most important thing that i took from this video, is the statement by that woman claiming that even a 1 year old child is a guilty sinner. That's enough for any rational human being to back away slowly and cause that speaker to lose all credit instantly...

  • God... this is so frustrating to listen to her...

  • Shermer was way too nice to her.

  • i am impressed at how civil to the point this discussion is between two people with very different beliefs and so unimpressed and disappointed with how immature and unproductive youtube users comments are.

  • i am impressed at how civil to the point this discussion is between two people with very different beliefs and so unimpressed and disappointed with how immature and unproductive youtube users comments are.

  • Listening to this dipshit woman speak, reminds me how important it is to continue to promote logic and reason over this ridiculous mythology.

  • Wow, classic case of cognitive dissonance if I ever saw one.

  • I think she might think she's talking to a theist

  • Where's a Dawkins when you need one!

  • 11:11 enough. O I stayed on... We can have "change" and "alteration" and"mutations" but no "evolution". Hey! I just had a thought. The Fall caused Evolution.

  • @NuyBard See now you're mixing science with fairy tales.

  • @SecretAgent194 Yes, but in such a delightfully clever way :-).

  • It always amazes me how people like this can be 100% wrong on everything and still think they are giving viable answers.

  • rude shermer, you couldve at least waited to talk to her until the novocaine wore off

  • I don't know why Micheal Shermer did not ask Purdom, "Why can we see the Andromeda Galaxy, which is 2.5 million light years away, if as you claim that the Earth is 6,000 years old?" Or, "How did the Hubble Space Telescope find a proto-galaxy 13.2 billion light years away if the Earth is 6,000 years old?" My hand is open ready to facepalm after ridiculous Creationist bullshit reply. Maybe he cut it from the final edit so Purdam wouldn't look like a complete moron. Oh wait...

  • @CarlitoKK I guess they might argue that the universe with its galaxies are much older than the earth, just because the bible doesn't have anything to say about the universe that wouldn't mean that it wasn't there.

    but it's bullshit anyway ;)

  • @photographer85 Good point. The bullshit is pretty thick. To be more clear I should have written "the Universe is 6,000 years old?" as I am certain that this is consistent with what most, if not all, creationists claim. The original wording of my question was based on the foundation of Geocentric Universe as an interpretation of Genesis. Thanks for replying as it addressed potential confusion in my original reply.

  • @CarlitoKK Ah, okay - well, then I'm pretty sure they'd start by trying to discredit the scientific way of measuring the age of the galaxies...

"we need to calibrate the instruments and measurements for the post-flood-vibrations" or some other bullshit

  • if god created man in his image would that mean he has dick?

  • Three words: Dunning Kruger effect

  • "There shouldn't be any carbon-14 in diamonds" ???

That's the moment I truly stopped listening to anything she said (tbh i should have stopped when she said she was a creationist scientist)

  • haha people are so stupid and they don't even realize it. Why do religious people believe such crazy things????

  • @keithrose4227 perhaps they become religious because they believe crazy things.

  • "Evidence and data speaks for itself. DNA doesn't talk, fossils don't talk, and rocks don't talk..." How bout burning bushes and snakes?

  • Wow. She is a really stupid educated person.

  • ...wow...

  • This woman is so incredibly dense it is sickening. While her bacterial evolution is predicated on a ridiculous timeline, what is more astonishing is that she describes an evolutionary microbial process but is too "galactically stupid" to realize that she is describing evolution, but denying that it should be termed "evolution". What an idiot! But then and again, it is creationist fecal-philosophy. Her hand selecting which science works and how it works is pathetic.

  • @erikbrush cognitive dissonance

  • Okay I have wasted 14 minutes on this now

and most of her answers has been

    "God said it"

I guess with that logic we could debunk whatever we want

by claiming these 3 magical words

    GOD SAID IT !

  • 6:00 my head just exploded.

"collins starts with HIS idea from the past and not with GOD'S idea of the past"

I want to slap some sense into this stupid bitch.

  • Bacteria that became "bad" after the "fall"? Say what? You call yourself a scientist?

(If you make it to around 17:00 you'll hear her say that a one-year-old with cancer deserves it for being a sinner... priceless)

  • Bacteria that became "bad" after the "fall"? Say what? You call yourself a scientist?

  • uhhhh I can't watch the whole thing. Its just so depressing. What a waste of a mind.

  • I think he was easy on her because, if he had pushed her to much , she would have stormed of. I think he got more out of her this way, and made her look like the idiot she is.

  • I'm more and more convinced the only way to settle this issue is with a time machine... I mean, cmon... you have a brain, don't want to use it, then I can't use it for you...

  • I have a PhD and I believe in Santa Claus. And I have proof!!! I read The Father Christmas Letters!!!

  • Why does this sound like simple apologetics? This is all about interpretations of scripture as a means of interpreting scientific data.

  • God did it. God did it? Yes, God did it. Why did God do it? Because he wanted do it. How did God do it? Because he wanted to do it. Oh, I see. Iron-clad logic.

  • Why even the need for any research if the bible already has all the answers?

  • What a dumb bitch.

  • The source of Christian "science" is the Bible, a book that claims insects have 4 legs, bats are birds, giants and unicorns walked the earth, etc...

  • What a dishonest woman, why do you think she's "so bold" in creationism? She's making very good money there, much better than a state university would pay. What a shame

  • So..........Adama ate an apple and "good" bacteria became bad?

    You naughty bacteria, you!

  • Hmm, she's replacing the word "pre-supposition" with "starting point. A scientist's only 'starting point' is an OBSERVATION, not an explanation.

  • This is an INTERVIEW! Not a debate! He's being very mature and letting her explain herself. That way the rest of us has yet another reason to have no faith in humanity.

  • This looks like a job for RICHARD DAWKINS! Shermer let her get away with to much.

  • How can you get a PhD and still be dense about evolution? Denial, I guess.

  • She's right on one thing, religious people are inconsistent when believing in one part of the scripture and not another, so why doesn't she go and kill those who work on the sabbath day like the bible asks? Furthermore, why can't people recognize that evolution is just one of all the aspects of science showing that the universe can very well exist and work on its own without the need of a God? Now they're down to retaliating outside of the edge of time to find a place for him.

  • Wow. I'm an athiest and subscribe to the theory of Evolution, but I must admit Michael Shermer just got his ass handed to him. He's a terrible questoiner. He didn't once call her out on her circular logic. She kept saying "we know God's word is true". How do we know that? Because a really old book told us?

  • @tictoc21 Not everything has to be drawn out for the simple minded. The reason why he didn't ask it is because that goes without saying. This woman obviously has a subconscious misinterpretation of reality, and has consciously agreed with this magical fantasy that's been drawn out by the medieval lunatics of The Bible. Simply by hearing her say things like "even one year old's are sinners", you can gather that this person has both a severe lack of modern age morality and rationality.

  • @keld0n84 Well then, I guess this interview is just another example of how entrenched the problem really is. It never ceases to amaze me how one person can be so smart and so stupid at the same time.

  • @tictoc21 Well I agree some places he got have investigated her in a little more, but I think he wanted to point as much inconsistencies in her beliefs as he could. I really liked for exemple when he got her to say that God "moved some of his sustaining power and so we have mutations occuring after the fall" yet just before she said evolution was impossible. If you think he got his ass handed to him I don't to know what you've been listening cause I've recorded tons of these inconsistensies

  • @tictoc21 Wow and I wasn't at the end of the interview yet, he even got her to say that in the "absolute morality" of God so good and so perfect from which we get our morals from, a lie so not different than a murder? Wtf??????

  • @tictoc21

I think he was just being polite. But, yes, he doesn't seem to be the most direct debater, and let's people get away with lots of absurd statements.

  • @tictoc21 Shermer understands well how to interview someone to reveal their position. He assumes that those viewing the video have common sense and can reach their own conclusions. I'm not a Shermer fan per se (and I've seen him shredded at times by his fallacies) but I applaud his ability to keep a straight face while interviewing a dazzling example of "educated ignorance".

  • People need to know that science is naturalistic and that it does not comment on the supernatural. So science does not disprove religion, or belief in a god, since thats in the area of metaphysics and philosophy. saying that it does is like saying we know E=mc2 there for the theory of evolution is false. Thats an absurd statement because both theories are in different fields and deal with different things. Same with science and religion

  • gotta say that what i notice is that both religious fundamentalist, and a lot of atheist are both exploding this issue way out of proportion. You have fundamentalist who think that if yu believe in an old earth, your denying christs revelation for mankind. You have atheist who seem to make the sweeping indictment that all christians believe in a young earth, despite what mr shermer has noted about people like francis collins who dont believe that(continued)

  • There is ultimately only one correct truth... and that Truth is Jesus. I recommend that you accept His free gift to you. It may sound like a silly story to you... but it is real.

Georgia you did a fantastic job of explaining!

  • So god made everyone in his image? How do you explain this woman?

  • I feel good. Today I found out that I am smarter than someone with a Ph.D. Who knew?

  • @Viniagrette You should feel good! She has a PhD but it is a huge deception. yes she was given the degree but she has not one single first author publication. A highschool student can be an author on a publication. It is rare a PhD candidate in this field graduates without a first author paper, or if not produces one in a post-doctorate position. If you have a PhD and you go over 4 years without a first author publication, yes, you're qualified for head scientist at a creationist museum:p

  • This is the perfect example of why educated people can still blow up buildings.

  • She should be fixed like a dog so we can stop her from breeding this shit.

  • This shit is fucking scary! I hope she doesn't have any children.

  • How the hell do you debate someone that has all the facts but decides to ignore the facts in favor of their beliefs.

  • Mike, you can tell her the sky is blue all day long...she'll still say it's green.

  • HOW does she know that the bible is true???

  • what is the literal meaning of "Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil"? Is the bible talking about a literal TREE that you can turn into fire-wood, or is it a METAPHOR?

    [ creationist: "What's a 'meta' for?" ]

  • About 3 mins into the video her tounge seems to double in size.

  • How in the heck did this person every get a PhD? Her logic and reasoning is so convoluted . . . I feel sorry for her profs that had to read her papers . . . her whole story about Jesus coming back and all bad things will cease to happen forever sounds so much like a little kids wishful view of the future . . . keep wishing.

  • Wasn't talking to you, Really careless in talking to you, cause you clearly have nothing valuable to say.

  • someone must take her degree

  • Based on this video and the papers she has written for creationist periodicals, this woman is not a scientist. It is a mystery to me how she earned a PhD from Ohio State, as she does not have a single first-author publication in a scientific journal.

  • @DJGutekunst "not have a single first-author publication in a scientific journal." how do you know? "It is a mystery to me how she earned a PhD from Ohio State" again..why? Maybe you need to put aside your bias and just understand..there are outstanding Scientist on all sides of the argument.

  • @TrueTaike There are no scientists on the "creationist" side. Not one. This woman is not a scientist; she is a panderer in BS.

  • @Krapenhoeffer well... she's completely wrong, but she's still a scientist. just remember that when creationists pull out lists of scientists who agree with them, this is the kind of person they're talking about.

  • @broadcastdeez Oh my god you're right...

  • @TrueTaike: How do I know? It's rather straightforward, actually: I looked up her bio at the Creation Museum (creation.com), which stated that she had published in 3 scientific journals. Being an ACTUAL scientist myself, I found those 3 papers using Pubmed, Sci Citation Index, and Google Scholar. On none of these papers was she first author. Anything else I can help you with?

In response to your other statement, she is certainly NOT an outstanding scientist by any acceptable measure.

  • @DJGutekunst nobody said she was outstanding... :P lol But doesn't mean she isn't a scientist, which you were implying. Scientist is simply one who studies the world, through testing and observation. nothing more(correct me if I'm wrong) What difference does it make it if she has published a good paper or not, she still doing her homework. Again why is it so hard to believe that she has a PhD from Ohio State? lol there are hundreds of Creationist who have phd and peer-revied Journals.

  • @TrueTaike: I'm glad you agree that Dr. Purdom is not outstanding. I was responding to your statement that "there are outstanding Scientist[s] on all sides of the argument." What sort of testing and observation does a creationist do? Where are their peer-reviewed publications? A creationist rejects virtually all branches of science in favor of ridiculous, illogical rubbish. Do everyone a favor, and refrain from dragging science down to the level of creationism.

  • @DJGutekunst "what sort of testing and observation does a creationist do?"well what kind of testing and observation did Newton do?lol see how sad your question is? You've have this mindset that A creationist and science are incompatible when 80+ of the scientist in the past were creationists. Creationist do not reject all branches of science, why would you think such a ridicules idea? What kind of scientist are you, one who belittles his opponents instead of fighting like a civil human being.

  • @TrueTaike Correction "80%+" (estimated btw) past as in the last 600 yrs

  • @TrueTaike: Oh my goodness, thank you for that response. It was illuminating. I really didn't think it possible that you would argue with Newton. Do you object to the universal law of gravitation, which corroborates Kepler's observations and removed any last doubt that the geocentric theory was wrong? Do you challenge the laws of motion, or integral calculus? Maybe I misunderstood...perhaps when you wrote 'Newton', you meant you reject the ungodly fusion of fruit and cake in a Fig Newton?

  • @DJGutekunst what field of science are you in, just curious, any peer-review journals? And what exactly do you believe creationist believe, cause there are many types of creationist. "Do you object to the universal law of gravitation, which corroborates kepler's observation and removed any last doubt that the geocentric theory was wrong...bahbah ..what are you saying, are you trying to be sarcastic, or agreeing with me, i'm not sure, what seems to be the problem? lol

  • @TrueTaike: I am a biomedical engineer and currently in grad school. Yes, I have peer-reviewed publications (even as a lowly graduate student, I already have more than Purdom), and I submit research to peer-reviewed scientific journals. How could you possibly think I was agreeing with you? Do you really contend that the Earth is the center of the universe?

  • @DJGutekunst Who contends that the Earth is the center of the universe? I simply don't know your point every-time you bring it up? Its like you have no better attack, so you makeing a straw-man, and think you are attacking me? I simply don't get what the hell you were trying to say. "I am a Biomedical engineer and currently in grad school" Good for you, I'm so proud of you. I'm sure your mom is proud too.

  • @DJGutekunst you seem to know how to maneuver around the creationist site take a look, they've gladly tell you whether there are peer review articles or not. But there's not a lot anyone can do if You simply deny everything just because one calls themselves a creationist.

  • @TrueTaike: Don't twist my words or intentions. You and other creationists need to find a better ploy than to claim that scientists are the ones being dogmatic. I do not reject ideas simply because they come from creationists; I reject them because they are demonstrably incorrect. As long as people spout these ridiculous ideas and corrupt the minds of children, you will face arguments from scientists and common-sense non-scientists alike. Wake up and grow up.

  • @DJGutekunst I apoligize if i have somehow twisted your word, but you seem to be the one that has already placed creationist in a hole. When was the last time he had a talk like this when talking to a none creationist that is agaist your views like on evolution, there are manysides to science, NOBODY agrees with nobody, yet the creationist (and the ID's) are prabibly the only ones you wouln't recognize as science, for some reason, like there is some sort of elitism.

  • @TrueTaike: I am glad that you are such an expert on science. You are also a whiz at grammar, based on the wonderful statement that "NOBODY agrees with nobody..." (Note: you have misunderstood sarcasm before, so let me spell this out: you are not an expert on science or grammar.) Ah, the accusation of elitism...the last weapon of the dogmatic creationist.

I'm done debating with you on this forum. If you'd like to continue being destroyed intellectually, perhaps we can exchange email.

  • @DJGutekunst sweet now we are just attacking each others grammar. I love it when "so called" debates become nothing but attacks on the other party. Makes People sound so Scientific.

  • @DJGutekunst "Ah, the accusation of elitism.. the last weapon of the dogmatic creationist." umm elitism is something scientist are very good at, for example your favorite creationist attack about the earth being the center of the universe. For some reason you seem to think that everyone in the scientific world all agree with each other, Loving and holding hands, sorry if I disagree. I was waiting for something intellectual its a shame all i got were attacks. Peace

  • @DJGutekunst " I reject them because they are demonstrably incorrect" reject as in, not even look at the evidence...is that what you are trying to say? no really did you actually read the creationist journals and papers and did the tests yourself...or you just simply watch a bunch of videos on Youtube? Again what exactly do you reject, there are many types of creationist and many ideas.

  • @DJGutekunst "scientists are the ones being dogmatic" is that so hard to believe, it has happened time and time again in the past... for some reason you seem to think scientist are non bias, all tolerant, all knowing people, I'm simply telling you that You are mistaken.

  • was that really the only place to conduct an interview? couldnt they find a busy freeway somewhere?

  • She re-affirms my belief in Santa Claus. Santa Claus is better than god.

Santa lives at the North Pole. A REAL place on Earth.

God lives in outer space, where Xenu of Scientology fame lives.

You can see Santa at the mall every year.

    "God"is invisible.

The WORST Santa will do if you "sin" is bring you a lump of coal.

"God" will burn you if you "sin" , FOREVER, not just for a while.FOREVER!
