This sounds more like a happy/relaxing piano song to me. It's pretty, nonetheless. Any Other Name by Thomas Newman is a really sad song though. And Andvari by Sigur Ros is gorgeous. These two songs are almost... haunting. And to me, that is what will make a song sad. A song that you can imagine something tragic happening. Something very sad.
