Good, bad or otherwise, pick from any of the inventive melodies and arrangements attempted by this self- taught ragtag bunch of ambitious english lads, feast on the buffet that is Tull. Through the generations, the wellspring that is Ian and his consortium looked and sounded different...I'll take the good/bad, and anything else they think up...
I don't say this about very much, since I hate that "Best. Song. Ever." crap that people say about mediocre shit all the time, but this whole album is hands down genius song writing. It's the best album Tull did and that's saying a lot. I think it was something that started to come through with Thick as a Brick (itself a great album) and came to a head with Minstrel and this one. Not that Ian put out crap after that. Not even close. But this album is thematic perfection right down the line.
Hi zjones.TOTRAR is a concept album about the mods and rockers in England in the 60's and all the characters involved and their journey through life after they sold their Vespas, and Nortons.
Oh that's alright, I just notice little quirks like that is all. Its really not a big deal. I don't know how that annotation thing works yet either really, I just know its annoying on the side on the screen!
I have every Jethro Tull album from '68 to I think '83 on vinyl and, I must say, this album I've probably listened to the most. I don't know what it is about this song, but I just love it.
I bought this on vinyl too, and it remains my favorite. I saw Tull -- Boston Gardens 1973. I'm "too old to rock n roll, too young to die..." No, I take that back....never too old to rock n roll....

I can learn from all of it.

Pied Piper's haunting harmonies and small talk make this an excellent example of the genius of this band!

sorry fellow Aqualung... as you can see, I wrote the title well in the description, but I mis spelled it here... :S
I'll try to correct it with an anotation (I don't know very well how this works :P)
