  • I'd just finished watching the Daft ASL videos when I came to your video. (Daft ASL is a group of 4 ASL teachers who try to teach the said language to people through song, in this case Daft Punk.) You're title got me interested, and I began to watch the video, then I started to look stupid. Why is that? I'm not deaf, and I'm just starting to learn ASL. lol

  • wow you look alike perfect to be an actor you should be an deaf actor cuz l read your acting really amazing and fantastic that l understand clear 100%

  • baha i think the Spanish one was funny its sucks comin in last one to laugh and every body jus stare at you nd then some one asks why u not laugh are you deaf or something i tun and say yea im hard of hearing and they shut up i felt better and laughed at that one :)

  • Sir? Your litteraly deaf? Am i being fooled. Sorry, i'm new to your videos. I'm amused by your expressions. haha.

  • @mofogachoga i don't see anything funny, why be an idoit. yes he is deaf, he stated that at the beginning.

  • hey jonLenois u are good comment in vlog wow but u are lucky u don't have to pay anything at court cause police officer not there

  • I'm a police officer and I sign. I've ticketed and even arrested deaf/hh people before. I'd disagree that most police officers are lazy. The best advice I can give for getting out of a ticket: Have a good driving record, be respectful and BE HONEST. A ticket and a warning serve the same purpose: To change behavior. If you admit to knowing what you did was wrong and promise not to do it again, I'm more apt to warn you than cite you if you don't have a pattern of the same behavior. Buckle up!

  • Yes Sir, I do believe safety is come first. Therefore, OBEY the law to reduce risk of life.

  • @TJ43909 I'm an aspiring office with ASL under my belt. I plan on giving tickets out fairly and without bias for everyone's sake.

  • @TJ43909 Do you have any advice for me? I had a bad experience. I deliver pizzas (like Jon). A female officer pulled me over in the rain at night because I had swerved to avoid hitting a stalled car. I was not speeding only going 30mph. I heard her yelling saying I was driving wreckless. But she would not come to my window so I could speechread her even though I informed her I was hard of hearing .Meanwhile the stalled car was still parked endangering other. I was furious.

  • @TJ43909 I understand the fear of possibly getting shot, but come on. We were both women & I had told her I cannot understand her if she doesn't come to the window. If you are going to have a job as a police officer you cant be scared of a deaf person who needs to read your lips! My husband is a retired sherriff. He agrees.

  • Whoa! great story! I did get ticket for my first time, but I was excused in court because I admitted I was guilty but with explanation and I already paid ticket. my interpreter was there and the cop did show up but the Judge liked my answer. So no records or points added. But 2nd time I did it same road, but slower speed though, still speeding, another ticket same cop I think, but I paid the fine and accept points. Been driving slower.

  • you are so lucky!

i am always afraid to fight tickets, because if they DO show up, i know i will look like an idiot!

i try to play stupid when i get pulled over, it works sometimes =D

  • ohh you lucky .. hahahha!

  • Yes, I'm surprised there were as many police officers there as you described. My uncle iis a cop and when he was working traffic control, he NEVER showed up for tickets - most are just Lazy.

    Lucky for you though...

One question... who thought Deaf people couldn't get tickets?

  • a lot of people think that cops wont give tickets because of the communication issue, and in some states you are required to call for an interpreter to give a ticket.

it is the same situation as women getting pulled over, they sometimes are excused easier.

its sad and not very fair, but its reality!

  • Well... Like I said... some cops are LAZY and don't want to call for an interpreter and wait.

I'm a CODA, and I admit that pretending to be Deaf has gotten me out of a few tickets... but it doesn't ALWAYS work... Deaf CAN get tickets! (My dad gets tickets all the time, because he won't stop texting while driving!)

    Thanks for answering my question!

  • Just your lucky day! I went to court in last few month ago. My judge almost same as your. I just say nothing just show up, about 4 hours later 200 people finish their case. It only 3 people left. I stand up and start use ASL with no voice. That judge was shock speechless even DA, cop, lawyer, and almost all in that room was stop talk and look at me. Judge write paper to ask for my name. I give my name and they find ticket and judge throw in trash told me go home. The End! My luck day like yours.

  • 258! i never got a speeding ticket in all my life for. i once had a warning. whew!

  • DAAAAAAMMMMNNNN!!!!! Lucky you! I got reschedule for trail since interpreter didn't show up. JEEZ!

  • NICE. Cop definitely showed up for mine, unfortunately.

  • hahahaahahahahah FAR OUUTTT!!!!!

  • rofl... i've been pulled over quite a lot...14 times. Yes.....14 times but lets say i am unlucky with cops who caught me but i am always lucky to get away.. so far i got 12 warnings.. and 2 tickets. I have never experienced going to the court but your experience was really interestig. If i was speeding and I know that I am gulity and i just send the ticket to court and tell them I am gulity and pay the fine and get over with it.

  • not quite something to be proud of...

  • Wow. You are so lucky persone Thumb-Up

  • Whoa!!! U're VERY LUCKY!! :)

  • WHEW lucky you were excused from having to pay the fine...

  • Because cop knew he gave you 10 mph off speed so he doesnt want to get in trouble heh. So Lucky ya! I got 11 tickets and few warnings!!! So far I havnt get ticket in 5 something years. Knocking on wood. Heh

  • This is not first time for me as same as you did! I will use vlog next time you will see this. This was very stupid situation with female police ever I had! But the judge wavied me because police did not show up.. BUt I will still plan to use vlog next!

  • Whew at the end! U lucky! :")

  • haha! lucky you! I'm Deaf too. I was stopped by a cop once. It was only a warning! haha.

  • WHEW Lucky you even if I've never gotten an ticket!
