If you watched Beast wars Neo and Neo 2, you get a bunch of weird beast war figures that never made it to the american show. Primal minor, etc. Magnaboss, Tripredicus, etc. Were all there. Even that baboon guy that you found at KB toys when it was still alive.

The only thing RID has in common with Power Rangers and Digimon is they were imported and dubbed by Saban. They don't share any other production credits.

I totally agree with you on some aspects. I liked this show though from the beginning when it first aired on FoxKids (I love you FoxKids forever!). And these hollywood transformers suck in part because they are Michael Bay films; he refused to do it in the beginning cause he didn't want to do "some stupid kiddie toy movie." But he changed his mind when he saw how much money was there to be made from the concept.

However, RID Sideways is apparently the same as Armada/Cybertron Sideways, being a multiversal minion of the multiversal Unicron. That's all Takara's doing. However, RID Sideways is a toy-only character and does not appear in the RID cartoon; it was only established in toy bios for Robot Masters.
There may be some homage references to RID in Armada, but then there are also homage references to G1 in RID.

It doesn't tie in with BW/BM or A/E/C. The use of the word "Predacons" doesn't actually have anything to do with previous Preds - it mostly came about by the original Japanese version throwing in some factions, names and characters that had never been used before, and a need to adapt them somehow into English. While the Japanese versions were entirely new, for the English language version, they chose to resurrect some previous names to make it more familiar. Only Sideways ties into other series.

Anyone know what the lyrcis are the second time round after they say Transformers? I have looked everywhere and can't figure it out. It sounds like the say something like "Transform By Your Eyes" but that doesn't seemt to make scence.
Definitely the best animated Tranformers series but the lousy Saban dub, also known as the screw translation, just write any stupid crap you want method, made it absolutely painful to watch. And I so wanted to like it, too.
I think the Predacons were a little out of place, but other than that, this was the next coolest show compared to the original, although this one could have used more core cast members from the original as well.
Like I said, I grew up in the 90's and I grew up with Robots in Disguise. That's why today it still remains my favourite series and I am hoping to complete my R.I.D collection in the future as I am about half way there now.
The only Transformers shows I liked were RID and Armada Energon and especially Cybertron sucked ass and if you seen the ending for Cybertron you know I'm right I haven't seen Animated yet but I hope to soon because I heard It's all american

Too right. I wish they made more of RID; it was the better of most of the series. They should have doubled RID and dumped Energon (although Energon was an ok story since it continued with Unicron and into the Cybertron story but it was still a horrible series).
Armada was pretty cool - I liked the fgures - the minicons really appealed to me a lot and I liked Cybertron's figures - not too much the storyline but it was good as a whole (and the Recon minicon team Jolt, Reverb and Sixspeed ruled). G1 was pretty awesome. I grew up with RID since I was born in the 90's but I watch G1 on YT and I will watch BW and BM soon too.

true, but that doesn't change the fact that it sucked. lets face it; almost all transformers shows not related to G1 suck (this obviously excludes Beast Wars/machines, but the american made ones only). the only exceptions are the new movie and new "transformers animated"
No you're acutally wrong. If you think Animated is better than RID, you have something wrong with you or you are just a little kid. The movie was good but a lot needed improving - particularly all the Decepticons. Animated changes the original storyline but is still a nice cartoon as a seperate Transformers from the rest. I do like G1 and I have yet to watch BW and BM but I have seen some BM and it rules.
Some of the Car Robots/RiD characters and toys (mostly Predacons) are straight remolds or repaints of Beast Wars toys. eg: Dark Scream and Sky-Byte. However, Megatron (Gigatron in Car Robots) was a completely new mold.
RiD started as Autobots vs Predacons. The Decepticons were created later as a subgroup under the command of Megatron who was leader of the Predacons.
He put Scourge (a black Prime-styled character) in charge of the Decepticon subgroup. These days he would probably be called Nemesis Prime, however that name didn't come along until later - in RiD it was Scourge.

Oh this was one of my all time favourite series. Thanks so much for posting the opening! I love the music in Robots in Disguise. I hate Japanese openings etc. coz the are boring and dull most of he time coz they usually have different music e.g. season one of one piece has a rap but I like he rap best. The Car Robots song (RID Japanese song) is lame. I like the English ones bet since they sound best AND I can understand them.
Do you mean Japanese *production* (ie: RiD, Armada, Energon, Cybertron vs G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines), or Japanese *language* (ie: Car Robots, Micron Legend, Superlink, Galaxy Force vs RiD, Armada, Energon, Cybertron)?
Don't forget, unlike Armada/Energon, RID was originally developed as a Japan-only line called Car Robots, and was only adapted for the US after the fact.
Many of the characters in CR did not have any relationship to previous G1 characters; they only received G1-related names when the series was adapted into RID. eg: "Megatron" originated as a whole new villain called Gigatron, "Prowl" was Mach Alert. It was pretty much only Convoy (Prime) that was inspired by G1, because he's so well known.

Like I said, I grew up in the 90's and I grew up with Robots in Disguise. That's why today it still remains my favourite series and I am hoping to complete my R.I.D collection in the future as I am about half way there now.

The only Transformers shows I liked were RID and Armada Energon and especially Cybertron sucked ass and if you seen the ending for Cybertron you know I'm right I haven't seen Animated yet but I hope to soon because I heard It's all american

This show was canned prior to Beast Wars in 1997.

It was made after both Beast Wars and Beast Machines, in Japan, in 2000. It wasn't "canned" either. It ran its course; all 39 episodes made in Japan as "Car Robots" were screened (more or less) in the US as "Robots in Disguise".

Too right. I wish they made more of RID; it was the better of most of the series. They should have doubled RID and dumped Energon (although Energon was an ok story since it continued with Unicron and into the Cybertron story but it was still a horrible series).

Armada was pretty cool - I liked the fgures - the minicons really appealed to me a lot and I liked Cybertron's figures - not too much the storyline but it was good as a whole (and the Recon minicon team Jolt, Reverb and Sixspeed ruled). G1 was pretty awesome. I grew up with RID since I was born in the 90's but I watch G1 on YT and I will watch BW and BM soon too.

true, but that doesn't change the fact that it sucked. lets face it; almost all transformers shows not related to G1 suck (this obviously excludes Beast Wars/machines, but the american made ones only). the only exceptions are the new movie and new "transformers animated"

No you're acutally wrong. If you think Animated is better than RID, you have something wrong with you or you are just a little kid. The movie was good but a lot needed improving - particularly all the Decepticons. Animated changes the original storyline but is still a nice cartoon as a seperate Transformers from the rest. I do like G1 and I have yet to watch BW and BM but I have seen some BM and it rules.

Some of the Car Robots/RiD characters and toys (mostly Predacons) are straight remolds or repaints of Beast Wars toys. eg: Dark Scream and Sky-Byte. However, Megatron (Gigatron in Car Robots) was a completely new mold.

RiD started as Autobots vs Predacons. The Decepticons were created later as a subgroup under the command of Megatron who was leader of the Predacons.
He put Scourge (a black Prime-styled character) in charge of the Decepticon subgroup. These days he would probably be called Nemesis Prime, however that name didn't come along until later - in RiD it was Scourge.

Amen, the very first TF series I saw the whole way through. Back then, I didn't like Beast Wars at all. Still remains as a good series, but G1 was the best.

I wish they wouldn't replace all the intros to the Japanese ones and just keep the Japanese language ones.

Oh this was one of my all time favourite series. Thanks so much for posting the opening! I love the music in Robots in Disguise. I hate Japanese openings etc. coz the are boring and dull most of he time coz they usually have different music e.g. season one of one piece has a rap but I like he rap best. The Car Robots song (RID Japanese song) is lame. I like the English ones bet since they sound best AND I can understand them.

Don't forget, unlike Armada/Energon, RID was originally developed as a Japan-only line called Car Robots, and was only adapted for the US after the fact.
Many of the characters in CR did not have any relationship to previous G1 characters; they only received G1-related names when the series was adapted into RID. eg: "Megatron" originated as a whole new villain called Gigatron, "Prowl" was Mach Alert. It was pretty much only Convoy (Prime) that was inspired by G1, because he's so well known.
