  • YET ANOTHER VIDEO OF POOR HORSEMANSHIP THIS IS NOT THE WAYTO DELIVER A FOAL YOU COULD HAVE KILLED THEM BOTH

  • this makes me wonder how she got pregnat at such young age...

  • @rathmiron LMBO!! Epic comment!

  • Poor momma. I hate to see young mares covered when not needed. It makes me sad. Glad they were both ok tho.

  • aww te poor filly shes not even a mare yet!

  • haha shes like, nope, dont like this spot, gotta move!

  • the horse in the backround: WTF???????

  • poor mama glad u were there to help th poor mama hope tey having a great time now :) take care of those two butiful horses

  • I wish you'd filmed the foal getting up and walking.

  • This foal is really cute. It was kind of funny whenever the horse was walking, and you were holding the baby up while it was coming out, following the mommy.

    x3

  • Funny it actually doesn't know what it's doing

  • make sure that thing stays the hell away from barbed wire fences

  • It's wonderful to film the beginning of the long life of this colt, he will keep it.

    I love Bello ... I crack it is really cute :D ! <3

  • A horse within a horse! amazing! wait...

  • LOL other horses were watching her

  • I think shes a bit young to be having a baby...

  • @Tosh576 I totally agree with you...

I would not breed my horses before they at least turned five...

  • I had a chincoteague mare do the same thing...except she never laid down at all...I was there to catch the foal....Then she was scared (terrified!) of her foal for about 15 minutes...but once I got her to touch the foal she bonded with her and was a great mother...The mare was 5 yrs old and it was her first foal.

  • whats the mom's name?

  • @cmillc22 jhghjgdgshgfjhgkjhkjgjhgd

  • i love nunu

  • If some where to pay closer attention to the videothen they would see the woman was pulling in time to the contractions, additionally the mare kept standing up through giving birth which is a clear sign of discomfort. Supporting the foal whilst the mare was standing was doing the poor mother a favour as having a foal of that weight half out with gravity pulling down on it as well as contractions is going to be very painful.

Props to the support who helped the mare during foaling.

  • You people are bloody STUPID! Its not a cow! or a sheep. You dont just go up and pull the poor thing out, it could make the mare bleed inside and could even kill her. Stupid people need to leave the mare to birth alone unless help is needed! I never see the wild ponies having foals pulled out!

  • @milliesos help was needed.... if the foal had dropped out while she was standing the foal might not be alive now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she supported the foal.. becasue if she didnt the dravity would pull the baby down... and its would be sooo painfull for the mum and having contrations at the same time and her mum is good for just standing there in sooo much pain!!!!!!!!!!! goood on her for helping by pulling at the same time as the contractionss.. BEAUTIFUL FOAL

  • @kassi890

Your comment makes no sence! The mare is not stupid, she would of lay down. I have photos of my now 5 year old mare pooping out of her mother when she was still grazzing.

  • @milliesos my comment makes no sence does it???? too me it does.. of course the mare isnt stupid...i have looked after mares at stables that have dropped foals from there mum standing and had landed wrongly and have been killed by it.. its the mares first foal as you read.. the mare doesnt know whats happening.. i think this lady knows what shes talking about.. hmm?

  • @kassi890

The amount of videos on here of people pulling foals from the mares makes me sick!! If they new the mare was going down then call a bloody vet!! The amount of foals/mares that have been killed of deformed by peoples stupidity is uncalled for. Like i said, i have photos of my mare hanging from her mother while the mare was still grazing. No matter who domesticated a animals is, instinct kicks in when its needed!! If the foal was stuck then that's when you step in or call a vet!

  • @milliesos There are also a lot of wild ponies and horses and their babies that die in labor because of things like this. The only difference is that because we have domesticated them, we are able to help in situations like this where the baby might not have made it in the wild. If you think about it from a humane standpoint, which is kinder: Letting the mom and baby suffer and possibly die, or stepping in and helping them through it when the situation becomes dangerous for one of them?

  • @Tweetybrd89

Yes i agree and before i new about foaling i would have done the same!! She was doing very well on her own. Its ok to go and stuff your hand up a sheep and pull the baby out but you could damage the inside of a mare by doing the same thing. Horses can take ages pushing out a foal unless she needed help LEAVE HER ALONE!

  • wats with the music

  • lol its kinda weird having the horse walk around with a baby thats half born in its butt

  • Comment removed

  • that must hurt she had to get the foal pulled out of her

  • Uhh... You're giving birth while standing up. Think again.

  • poor horses then you probably still hurts worse that in humans D:

  • gross but cute <33 hope the birth went well :)

  • how long did it take 4 the mare 2 giv birth 2 the foal?

  • she is soo tiny. even for a pony...poor litlle thing

  • Crappin out a hoarse¡ now theres something you dont see everyday?" ;_;

  • s tro mimi =)

  • The patience to stand around with the girl especially when she doesn't know to just rest while the birthing process is taking place, let alone her being totally frightened while the foal is coming out of the birth canal. The last few seconds of the video make it all worth it. Thanks and congrats!

  • Omg dat waz cute!

  • At 2:17 the mother kinda looks dead but I am happy it ended well

  • very cute baby=)

  • soo cute his name was bello i love that that s name is my horse too

  • Lots of horses will stand during delivery, then lie back down. I think she knew just what she was doing :)

  • like around this time hes like 2 years now?

  • Why isnt she laying down?

  • Good for this woman, whoever she is, for sticking with this frightened young mare and helping her through this natural process. It's easy to see how you reassured her in how she came around and appeared able to nurture her foal. Beautiful.

  • i bet she was more happy after he was out than in

  • that baby is so young! to have a child i mean WOW!

  • Sweet foal but the poor mare would have only been 2 years old when covered not much of a life for her up the duff at 2 years ; ( thay are still growing untill 4 years of age no wonder y she was having problems giving birth poor girl... bad horse breeding sorry both could have died....

  • she looks so young

  • My horses ALWAYS foaled laying down and at night I was starting to think they ALL did

  • yep, my stally born 8yers ago name is Bello. he was gelded though. it is still great stally!

  • How does the umbilical cord should be handled? should it be tied and then cut , or just be cut? reply, plz :)

  • WOW three years old, she's only a baby herself. poor thing. That would of taken a toll on her internal organs. thats like a 7 year old human having a child

  • i believe u saved two lives that day!! :) thank you for bringing a miricle into the world

  • she was so exausted

  • Ours always foaled at night. I was beginning to think they all did.? Momma looks worn out!!

  • aww shes a gorgeous little horse. well done for helping her!

  • Awesome job! The poor pony mare i think had given up. Its not so much that she is young and not sure what to do, its more of the fact being a rescue she is so unhealthy and just flat out didn't have the energy. I agree that 3 y/o is young to breed but you all would be surprised what mother nature takes care of. I would guess that you saved 2 lives in this delivery..

  • @ SweetyPie5394

quick question - why are you even asking that question? if you don't know how much a horse costs, then you really shouldn't have one cause there's more than just shoveling over money towards a horse - you can spend thousands the first year alone

  • It's good that the woman helped the mare with foaling o.o What would've happened if nobody helped .__.

  • Was this her first foal?

  • Yes, she was practically a baby having a baby.

  • @norcalequinerescue chicoteuge horses are my favorite kind of horse!! well, a welsh pony and a paint horse comes in a close second.

  • BEAUTIFUL ! God bless you all ! Best wishes of happiness !

  • Wow, wonderful, thank you for sharing this, and thank you for helping that poor mom and her baby!!!

  • hey for a 3 year old that was really confused she surprised me with wanting anything to do with the foal afterwards! great job!

  • That was kinda crazy mating her at 3 cuz she still needs to learn.

  • why did the mare stand up while giving birth?

    pretty horse by the way

  • Some mares do that while birthing, some will stop and half a bite of half while the foal is half way out. THere are several reasons. One, the mare could be in to much pain lieing down she so stands to move around. Two, the could need a breather so she stands up and walks around, trying to get a breathe back, etc, etc

  • was the foal a girl or a boy

  • Wow. isn't 3 a little young, though you probably couldn't control that she bred?

  • wow thats beautiful

  • what a cutie :)

  • why was she put into foal?

  • some i've seen, mares prefer standing up while birthing... idk why... although... this one deff doesn't know what she's doing... lol

  • Thank you for sharing this video. It is just great and moving too. Good Job.

  • great job good thing u helped

    ")

  • So lovely mare loves her little pretty foal:)

  • great job im glad you helped here and were there. The foal could've died and possibly the mare too but great job. any tips? I have a mare who will be foaling soon and i dont wanna ruin her.

  • how old was the mom when she was foaling ???????/

  • Cute!

  • very moving video!

whats the name of the guitar piece?

  • Aww its almost one years old.

  • what a great video...Just glad you were there when it happened...it could have went terribly wrong when the baby was hanging out and she got up....thank you for sharing...good job...

  • wow ! the horse i ride now is 7 and apparently had a foal when she was 4 or 5 so her foal is now 3 and im training her!

  • congrants

  • aw poor mom, she looks exhausted. But, beautiful foal!

  • this sounds stupid but did the dam make it??

  • Yes she made it!

  • @Apachers911 Why wouldn't she have made it?

  • How are the pair doing? :3 Were these ponies wild when you got them, or were they born tame?

  • They are doing great in their new forever home!

  • @norcalequinerescue What do you mean their new 4ever home? did they die?

  • Golly, she is only a baby herself. who would do this? stupidity in my eyes!

  • Wow, what a happy ending. Just curious, is the attendant wearing a glove? some of my friends use one when assisting a foaling. I will have my first foaling this spring, so am studying up.

  • did she have a hard tine

  • y was she giving birth standing up?

  • She was very young and did not know that horses are supposed to lay down to give birth.

  • she did great

  • kool video....im exploring all the kinds of animal births =]

  • i see underage pregnany happens in the animal world too.. nice to see the filly trusted you in her assistance.. i hope they have a long happy life

  • Aww. She looks like she got pregnant at 2 years old. She looks really young.

  • Aww. Poor thing... It looks like it's hard for her...

  • Poor girl, had no clue what she was doing. Do you have any guess what the father/sire might have looked like?

  • lol beginning of video leg is sticking out! looks like a poop! lol!

  • She was already pregnant when we saved her from slaughter.

  • if you don't mind my asking, if it was young and rescued, why did you give it the chance to become pregnant? or was it already?

  • Well done to MOM, Baby and human assistant! Great music...top shelf all around!
