He's not going to get impeached. Unless he lies about spending taxpayer money to further this relationship, I don't see any other way to remove him for office, nor do I necessarily think infidelity is grounds for impeachment.

I agree that infidelity is not grounds for impeachment. Perjury is, however, as is spending state funds under false pretenses.
In the case of Sanford, the best grounds would be dereliction of duty for skipping town and not turning his office over to the lieutenant governor.

Yep. And he owned up. The "god's law" bullshit aside, I was impressed. He was not having sex with escorts or stealing money. This is between him and his family....

Tattypatty, He "owned up" because he got caught. If not for all of the attention and being caught in the airport he would be telling more lies like the ones he told his staff.

@tatty: integrity = lying to wife, lying to staff, boinking someone (male/female?) down south. Of course, it wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't spouting the sanctity of marriage to the point of being a member of 'Promise Keeper' (along with Ensign - another integrity-filled politician).
