  • I'm really new to raising turtles, I thought you need a uva also, but you only use uvb is that ok?

  • what are your tan measurements?

  • And @musblackops no it doesn't it could even be higher there's no such thing as too much water

  • Did u get your turtle from turtle sale/shack they look like u did

  • the water needs to be a little lower

  • how big is the tank is w X h X L in feet or meters? im thinking of getting one but i need the size to see if it its where i have the old tank now O_o if anyone know it'll be a great help !

  • I feed mine earthworms and they are growing fine.

  • i have since moved them to an outdoor pond

  • 10.0 is too much a 5.0 is better

  • @miguelalves93 If the 10.0 is placed at the right distance it's fine.

  • Do turtles shed because mine has some skin com eing of by his neck

  • yup they do shed, it looks like little thin pieces of plastic wrap, the shells shed too! just not excessively because then it would be skin disease.. :/

  • Good job it looks great=]

  • go see my new video !! :)

  • Nice set up. Those two tiny turtles have tons of room. Looks like you put a lot of work into making them comfortable.

  • you should see the update that imma post within the next week.. its so much nicer now

  • i must see it

  • lol i neva new turtles talk

  • you have such a nice tank dude... hey can you teach me how to make a basking dock like yours?

  • alright, it really isnt quality. i actually need to make a new one :p

its basically just a peice of strong plastic that i cut with a jigsaw, to fit into the inside of tank held with two suction cup dividers

if you can buy a eggcrate, and use that as an area

  • hey dumaaa thanks for the advice, view my new tank setup. i have now what youve told me. About the cuttle-bone? does your turtles eat or bite on the cuttle-bone? because one time i put a cuttle bone in my tank for about a week or two, my turtle just did nothing to it... it just got messy so i took it off..

  • the cuttlebone just sits in the tank, it SLOWLY releases calcium into the water, and my turtles just bite it, just leave it in there, if you have a filter the mess shouldnt be too noticeable

DO NOT FORGET TO CUT OFF THE HARD BACKING !!

in time you will see little v's from where they bite into it ^^

  • how often do u feed them. cause im never really sure how often to feed my sliders. please comment back

  • i feed the babies enough that would fit in their head every day (basically two sticks of reptomin broken up, they eat from my hand now ^^)

and the adult i give two sticks of reptomin and two pellets of zoo med maitenance every other day, but sometimes he comes to me and i cant help but to give him a stick of reptomin :P

dont forget to put a thing of cuttlebone in there, i forgot to include it

  • ok well hope u make a video of is b/c it seem that with more water it would look even beautifull :D

  • of course !!

  • ugh why the water sooo low??? really!?!?!

  • its because the stand is really weak, so i just filled it to its near max weight.. its temporary until i build/buy a new stand and above the tank basking area
