  • I still have this 45, I nearly woere it out playing this song

  • The sweet kicked ass I wish I coulda seen em live back in the day

  • Blew out the speaker on my little record player cranking this when I was 5. I always wondered what "Take a wipeout by the innerhouse" meant, until I bought the CD with lyrics last year. "Take a white mouse; he's hiding in a house." Hoo boy...

  • Was this song written about the prophet Mohammed? If not, what has the song got to do with the title?

  • @fatpizzaman Good question. Actually it harks backs to the 70s and a chain of ballrooms in UK known as the Mecca Clubs (the Mecca circuit). Well because of the overt sexually nature of their stage act Sweet were banned from playing on this circuit hence the song. It's a stab back at the guy who decided their act was simply too risqué for the audiences they were attracting. (Nowadays it would be Man From YouTube .. a video I made for Hey Mama got axed a few weeks back!) They're Bingo halls now

  • ive only just started to rediscover the brilliance of the sweet, way ahead of their time ,who knows how far they would have been taken if the ravages of alcohol hadnt taken hold of brian, is it my imagination but there always seems to be such sadness in andys face post the sweets break up

  • @xerri1 yes..i just wonder why brian who is so talented good lookin would turn to alchohol?these guys paved the way for many bands...i miss them dearly....

  • @xerri1 Alcohol can take hold of the strongest of souls if given the chance.

  • More cowbell please!!

  • I found this 45 among my mums collection she had since '72 back in the 80's, been in love with song ever since, little willy is a funny wee song!

  • @themanmaschine I got this on 45 for Christmas that year!

  • This was the flip side of Little Willy ! Still got the 45 !

  • Sweet memories. Amazing production. Also the playing with the pan (left right) in the solo is great. They don't do that no more. Thanks for uploading

  • great band, very influential, the hits were great but the b sides were always better.

  • So very far ahead of their time, the backward masking and the hammer

techniques, for 1972 this was the future of heavy metal and hard rock, whats

really funny this was the b-side of little willey

  • What a killer track i recall i first played that on a jukebox that had a duff selector so it came on by mistake, we all fell off our seats when it kicked in and all went rushing to the jukebox to see what the hell it was, after which we played the B'sides to death.

  • Excellent, that deserves another listen.

  • What a song... what a band!

Way too ahead of their time

  • mick tucker is my hero, when i heard this song on the sweet singles album i got for xmas way back then it made my drumming what it is today, its classic 70s that influenced a lot of musicians

  • hellll yeah !!

  • HUGE guitar tone at 1:42!

  • @saberjett6 yeah it sounds weird because it the solo running backwards. great band

  • by far my fav sweet song!

  • @BrianLangor I second that. Definitely my fav!

  • A friends sister saw them in concert and their amps/speakers blew out all the windows LOL. I wish I could of seen them...*sighs*

  • AWESOME ! So much better than most at the time. Many may not want to admit it but the different phases that this band went through musically have influenced a countless number of other much more commercially famous bands.

  • Fucking tremendous
