ESP gave him free guitars so he could represent them.

Unbelievable - I've read some ridiculous comments in my time, but really man...
I own a guitar company, I also own 16 other guitars that I will continue to play because I love guitars, I will always use the best guitar for the job whether it's a Fender, PRS or Chapman. That is all.
I do use my own stuff, for example in Hollywood when I recorded Breath - I would never tell anyone to be exclusive to one guitar brand unless they absolutely wanted to be. The holy trinity of LP, S and T type guitars are classic tones that I would recommend every guitarist to use, as the owner of Chapman Guitars I would actively encourage guitarists to not stick to one brand of guitar - that would be limiting yourself tonally.
@RobChappers i have plenty of faith in his company... even if he does play other guitars... it doesnt really matter at the end of the day. Just because he has started his own company and has a signiture guitar, doesn't mean he's gonna just hang up his huge collection of other amazing axes now does it? I don't agree. If you are into guitars, you know two important things. First of all, you have emotional relations to some of your instruments. This is the case here - if you don't believe me, just watch his other videos and read the older comments. Secondly, you'll notice that all guitars have a different kind of tonality, and you'll use different guitars to create different sounds. This doesn't mean that his own brand is not good enough.
I agree, and it makes sense to use different guitar in the studio but when you are trying to get a company off the ground to play something else just because makes little sense to me.
Neal Moser plays Moser Custom Shop guitars.
Bernie Rico Jr plays Bernie Rico Jr guitars.
These owners and luthiers use their instruments because they feel they can smoke anything else and are proud to showcase them.

@JerkyChid Personally, anyone who also recommended other companies equipment is worth listening to. It says to me that he is that confident about his own products that he is willing to show you the alternatives, confident that you will still buy his own products because they are better quality/value.
Also, it means he isn't trying to push his own products at you but is offering you a genuine and professional opinion.
That sort of thing is worth its weight in gold.

I don't agree. If you are into guitars, you know two important things. First of all, you have emotional relations to some of your instruments. This is the case here - if you don't believe me, just watch his other videos and read the older comments. Secondly, you'll notice that all guitars have a different kind of tonality, and you'll use different guitars to create different sounds. This doesn't mean that his own brand is not good enough.

I agree, and it makes sense to use different guitar in the studio but when you are trying to get a company off the ground to play something else just because makes little sense to me.
Neal Moser plays Moser Custom Shop guitars.
Bernie Rico Jr plays Bernie Rico Jr guitars.
These owners and luthiers use their instruments because they feel they can smoke anything else and are proud to showcase them.

I know I'm right. I'm right because Rob made a new videos only using the ML1 and setting it up to seem like he uses it more than he does and added a montage of him with his other guitars to poke at me and others when he doesn't support his own company to the fullest. I also know I'm proven right because too many people are blind by being fanboys and make short little comments and insults like yourself rather than having a real argument.
