yes moraz did give yes a different dimension that moody blues fee l really a great keyboardist i love 'i' too great solo album or is it really a solo album in a pure since or just a nice patrick moraz album to begin with
This is Ronnie Ciago. I'm about to teach Percussion & Drum Set live on line via Skype and I'm also developing a Percussion & Drum Set on-line lesson course as well.
This means you can take private lessons from me in you own home.

Given that you included the video on your "favorites" list, I'll take that as a compliment. Yes, ridiculous as in, that's how I would feel attempting to play keys anywhere near his level.
I totally agree, mate. In my opinion PMoraz opened a new horizon for Yes music that was surely becoming too predictable. That time, It was a great surprise to see Yes sounding freshly different and exciting with him in "Relayer".
"Story Of I" is the best keyboardist's album ever in ProgRock; very creative, virtuous, colourful; marvelous heavy solos, beautiful sweet moments, incredible arrengements. The whole album is breathtaking.
Check the "About This Video" details (above right) as it answers many of your questions. This particular piece is not one of the jam sessions, but it was first time they played it live together, and had only been rehearsing a few days prior to this date.
We met at this club a month before this taping during his acoustic performances. He invited me to tape his shows, which I was happy to oblige. We then became close acquaintances and worked on various things together over the following year.
AWESOME!! While Yes continued going down getting older and player slower and more boring, Patrick demonstrates that he is ALIVE & POWERFUL! That 01/W destroys!!!!
After taping his previous shows where he played acoustic piano only, this was the first electric show. It had been awhile for him playing electric in a live setting, so he was pumped. The sheer volume and thunder of it all. I had goosebumps during this piece.

WOW...Patrick really kicking ass here.
He was great on Relayer. Would have been
great to see one more YES album with him.
He's one of the all time greats.

I'm thinking of buying more Patrick Moraz albums.
Do you know them personally or did you attend a show and tape this? Where in Florida does he live? Is it near Naples or Fort Myers?
