This was one that was on the decks when you eventually got into Wigan. You would be chewing 110 times a second, eyes like Night Owls, leather wold be swishing along with your spencers from Eggy, you would find your spot on the stage to the left then do yer bollox! If you find Dr Who b4 me Jack just come find me man.
this was one of my all time dancers , wherever i was , no choice , where's the floor ... i'd get totally lost inside it and let my feet do the talking ... this was Mr M's for me and my late great friend and dj , kenny spence ... park outside the back door of m's and help kenny get his boxes inside ... no queing out the front for me and my car in the back out of the way of the plain clothes who were an ' f ' in pain .... those are very happy memories ....
Shit man Im in a Wigan mood!!! Gets me alot now specially when Im dancing round the house. So So reminds me of the Casino. I know its been played to death but I dont give a shit!
hi, was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. ive been looking for a northern song now for a long time now but i cant rember who its by. some of the lyrics are
"you be alone in the night with your arms reaching out just to hold me tight

Love this tune! What an fascinating aura. I'm still waiting to hear the truth one day about what I suspect, that this tune was actually backed by The Four Seasons and that Charles Calello was the arranger/producer! All dreaming aside, much respect for Mr. Sigler!
I remember Bunny Sigler performing as a guest star at a talent show at Vare Jr High in South Philly. Plus he was frequently on the Hy Lit Show. He was always dressed sharp. Anybody remember "Lovey Dovey?"
If it pulls your heart.....if it pulls your feet.......if it pulls your heart strings..........its one of OURS.....fuck the snobs......the floor wins everytime!
@JackMDT8888 Wow! What a wonderful way to describe the emotional response one feels listening to this hauntingly beautiful melody! Very nicely said, and I echo your sentiments!

This and "let the good times roll" by bunny sigler were 2 of the favourite tracks of a notts soul brother now at the big alnighter in the sky god bless you rob whattam r.i.p mate till we all meet again ktf brother
In 1977 my neighbour Martin Atkins put all of his favourite Northern Soul tracks on a crappy old C60 tape and this was one of those tracks. I still have the tape today but its played to death and knackered. For the last 2 years I have been trying to rebuild that playlist with cleaner copies and its awesome to hear this one again in such good nick. thank you for posting it.
wow, i didn't know this song was this old. i only know it by bo donaldson and the heywoods from the 70's. i love utube. i'm learning even more about music.
@eydie57 There was another "blue soul" band that covered this song. They were called "Timebox," and they were very good! I think all versions have their own unique appeal; the more the merrier!
3 people dont have a soul, shame such a brilliant piece of music.

chuckus The last time I heard this song I was a Frosh in Msgr. Bonner High
in subarbia Phila. My religion teacher Fr. O' Rourke brought in a phono and played
it,saying God doesn't want us to wait till it's too late. Anyway, Fr. O' Rourke kept me
off the honor roll all 4 report cards w the lousey grade he gave me.
