But id like to see the average amateur photographer go out & create this, why's it always someone who has too much money to afford a camera to produce this stuff?, making out he's just a normal photographer off the street. I'd like to see every other amateur photographer acquire the camera to do this. Photography is too expensive a hobby for most people.
True, it's been used by architect phoographers forever. Moving film tilt shift is a more modern thing though. I first remember seeing the effect in the TV show CSI. This guy is doing an actual optical effect, maybe CSI do it digitally.

This is a basic tilt shift illusion used by every large format photographer. The time lapse idea is relatively novel, though.
