As I recall, Palmeiras had good chances to score with Leandro Amaro 2x, Marcos Assunção 2x and Valdivia in the 1st half, and Fernandão, Pedro Carmona 2x, Maikon Leite and Valdivia in the 2nd half. Anyway, this was Palmeiras first match of the season, the players were training for less than 2 weeks, most of them in bad shape, and Ajax had difficulties against them.
