I plan to join one of these classes starting this week. I'm quite a bit overweight and traditional exercise methods bore me. That's the main reason why every exercise program I have tried has failed for me. I'm hoping aerobic dancing is more fun and engaging.

Now I realize I always did Zumba in partyies. It's the same except here everybody does the same moves, the lights are bright and you're sober. But that last thing takes most fun out of it! :D

@ladygagaeckler There's no way this burns anywhere close to 1000 calories. Running for an hour at a good pace doesn't even do that. If it was intense enough for that, everyone would be laying on the floor unable to move, and it wouldn't be a class of half-fat women smiling. Stop making dancing around out to be more than it really is. You call it zumba, the rest of the world calls it flailing around and distracting yourself from the boring life you live.

@Diddle1414 That was just not needed, zumba obviously does work looking at weight my mam lost over a month of doing this every day! Running is very different and does not every compare too the excitment and adrenalin rush you get, if you look at teh video carefully alot of the women are sweating to bits but they dont lie of the floor lifeless because they are having fun.

I love how everyone isn't exactly all that skinny. This class is perfect for all body sizes.

Cardio Burn out is amazing too. I highly recommend it coming from a slightly overweight person who has been losing weight because of Zumba. :)

We used to dance like that when we used to go clubbing in the early nineties. We called the full on dancers stompers and you would see them at raves where the locations were secret. We danced those kind of moves to techno music and trancie style music as long as there was a beat. They were great times and loved the dancing.

@MissyBelleSYD Zumba instructors are supposed to only use verbal cues but they are supposed to face the class! A lot of the instructors don't but that is how it is taught when they receive their license.

good class! Some very good dancers but my favorite dancers are ladies on the back row. Why? Because they are ROCKIN' it AND having fun! Zumba is for ALL fitness levels and ages and moving and feeling GREAT!

Honestly if you knew what zumba is, then you would know that this IS zumba. Looks like hip hop to me, not aerobics, you must be on drugs or something. :)

@Forsaken189 Yes, and you should try it. I think one of the reasons, that you can't see that this is aerobics is, that you never tried doing aerobics. You just only sit there in front of your computer posting bad comments to videos. This is pretty good exercise, I've never been so sore in my muscles before! You get sore in your shoulders! But i have to say again; try dancing zumba it's REALLY funny!!!
