  • The reason why installing a new version of firefox works is because now that it's updated, it's most likely not going to let you on a virus page or let the virus get onto your computer because the newer version was informed that it was a bad link or website....

  • I can't belive I got a virus. So embarrasing. Thank you.

  • If you're getting redirected to something like GimmeAnswers, download GooredFix and run the exe file

    it should fix it

  • I am running this version of Firefox...

  • @7kgravelle Hey hows it goin? Alright so let me start by sayin, this video isnt probally useful anymore to many people, so try updating firefox to version 8.0. I have, and so for. its perfectly fine.

try that out and let me know how it goes. Cheers Mate!

  • Thanx man, its worked..

  • This does not fix it. It just installs a new version of Firefox!

    derp

  • Hey famous boy over there :)

  • I started using FF with version 1.0 but now looking for alt browsers as reloading FF works. about site you go has a FF redirect or a Google as FF and Google are not as smart as the hackers who sell out to commercial site they redirect to. If we all refused to shop at these "redirected' site, maybe they would stop paying these 'redirect' assh..les. Malwarebytes will not find them either so dont waste your money.

  • You seriously sound like Jesse Eisenberg o_O

  • @AliensPredatorsMan HAHAH uhm thanks?

  • @AliensPredatorsMan Michael Cera actually

  • Mr747411 after 1 day... it started again.... i really dont know what to do

  • @Zamorph691 oh alright...maybe you should scan your computer for a virus. Google or Youtube the software "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" its a very helpful piece of software. Scan your computer with that if not, then download the new version (3.6.16)

  • MAN THANKS YOU SO MUCH,i was so close to reinstall windows for that fucking virus, again THANK YOU VRY MUCH!!!

  • @Zamorph691 haha no problem man, and yes it really a pain! thanks for watching and hope it helped.

  • thanx for this help.. i've re-installed the new version of firefox (3.6.13) after and the virus kicks back again... do you find the same problem?

thanx for the help so far. Lui

  • @letsgodancebrighton if thats keep happening then go with the version i showed you in the video. If that STILL dosent work out...im not sure what your next step might be.. virus scan maybe? Im not sure, Sorry i Couldnt help you out much

  • Wooooooooooow, I have been working on and off trying to remove this virus for a few weeks and could not get rid of it. MalwareBytes couldnt do it, TDSS couldnt do it, combofix couldnt do it, hitman couldnt do it but this simple method was enough to fix my issue! Thanks so much.

  • thanks soooo much! You really helped me! I hope you go to bed tonight happy that you made someone elses day! :) Eva

  • @EvaMurray7 Glad to help you out, haha and yes I WILL be going bed happy. I'm Currently running the new version of FireFox (3.6.13) and no concerns what so ever, try that out, but if if the video helps. GREAT!!

  • @Mr747411 Hey dude! Alas it didnt work after all, I spoke too soon! lol, nonetheless thanks for trying! I'm stuck. Tried running various scans including tdsskiller and it comes up empty! I don't think it has anything to do with the router as some have suggested as the other comps in my house are fine. Perhaps that version of firefox would work! Do you know where I could get it? Thanks matey! Eva

  • Does anybody know how to remove click.w3i?

I can't even connect to the internet. Everything goes to click.w3i network connection error comes up.

  • @FishRock77 how about you try this:

    click on

    "Tools">"Options">"Security" (tab)

    Now check off the following:

    "Block reported attack sites"

    "Block reported forgeries"

let me know what you come up with

  • THANK YOU! that was driving me loco!

  • this did not work...also i get redirected when using all my other browser liek safari and opera

  • @ddrache12

    Same here.

  • What i did after non of these advice help was a system restore and finaly that solve my problem.

  • it didn't work out!!!

  • @victorsk84e alright instead of leaving negative comment, why don't you tell me your experience with ? Might be able to help you out

  • @Mr747411 in most of the cases just reinstalling the navigator doesn't work out.

  • Use a free internet program call Combofix...will open up a dos window and will download Windows Restore utility if you don't have it installed. Works quickly. Found by rootkit redirect problem and replaced it with the correct windows file. Suffered with the re-direct problem for 6 months and it worked for me. It's free with no strings attached.

  • This worked! I've been searching everywhere for a fix, and was even on the phone with a very unhelpful person in tech support but none of that helped. This simple fix did the trick!

    Thanks so much man!

  • @ualue Hey No problem, glad to help you out there, don't forget to rate comment and subscribe! thanks!

  • didnt work i dont get it i go on piston heads and it redirects every time ive neva had this problem before ive tried your method and nothing im actually considering reformatting

  • @rs200000000000 Hey sorry this video didnt help you out. Though!! there might be a solution to this. (no not formatting!) go youtube "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46" and im 100% sure people have the keys and in the description, just might be a little virus. IF nothing works, then sorry about your luck and might have to reformat. Be sure to download a more previous version
