Well it sounded good. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and will be waiting for the vid. If you could when you make it try and give a speed comparison to the Stampede and the E Maxx (if any). I know a guy that works at Outerwears (only about 25 minutes from my house in fact they used my Stampede to make there Outerwear cover for that truck) and they run 1/5th scales and he said alot of guys are converting to electric because they will smoke the gas ones. Have you looked into doing that with yours?

@920gamez - Many 1/5th scale 4x4 trucks cost more than $1600. MCD, for example. Many 2wd 1/5th scale trucks cost almost this much.  This is a fair price for what you are getting. Remember 1/5th scale trucks are ALWAYS going to be more expensive than 1/10th scale. That's just how it works.

@Lerbech1 - I think Traxxas is trying to start a new racing class... 1/7th scale onroad. We'll see if it works. But your right, the car specs look awesome for a race machine! And unless I understood the video wrong, the new TQi controller isn't just for the XO-1. I think you will eventually be able to get one to use with any of your other models too.

@Ae867125 - Yeah they should have done a dual release with a 1/5th scale REVO running a 30cc gas motor and a 1/5th scale EREVO running a Mamba XL. I would have ordered them immediately! lol.

For the first time ever, I am PRAYING there's no snow in Indiana on Christmas! I doubt you'd be able to waterproof that thing in time to run it on Christmas Day!

@orionknight12 - We got 2 1/2 inches of snow in Indiana yesterday.  lol. But I will find some way to run it. Shouldn't be that hard to waterproof as the only thing that really needs to be protected is the steering servo. The gas engine is fine as long as you keep water out of the breather. :)

Nice one dude, glad to see you're still dipping into the largescale rc's. The losi seems a great track truck to me, being designed with adjustable shock positions and obviously the whole platform lol. I'll be interested to see how it works for bashing, cause that's what I love about the 5T. Looking forward to your vids of this!!!!

@dgriffin1671 - so do I!! I haven't gotten to drive it yet. However I hear that it is slightly slower than a 5b/5T in a drag race, but more than makes up for it by not fishtailing and handling much better in the corners due to 4x4 traction. But that's all hearsay coming from others... I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet. :)

@Ae867125 - I guess his premonition was wrong. lol. It's a 1/7th scale speed track car called the X0-1. Traxxas just released it about an hour ago. :) Strictly pro race level machine and oval track or drag track only so not all that interesting to me, but a very cool car anyway. Nice to see something really new from the Traxxas boys.

What is it with this car. I just dont like it that much. I just thought its too wide and to short in length. And its really low to the ground. Just something about that bugs me but it still seems like a really cool car. And the baja 4x4 Flux is suppose to come out sooner or later.

@MegaRallycar - yeah it is kinda square. for some reason I like that. lol. And it's low to the ground because it's shipped in a race ready setup. It even comes with a center diff which is very useful in racing - usually you have to buy and install that yourself. I probably won't race much with it, so I will be jacking the suspension up and putting stiffer oil in the diff probably right away for bashing. :))

@MegaRallycar - The big reason I like it is that it is the 1st real 1/5th scale 4x4 from a mainstream RC company that has a great reputation for building quality models. I HAD to get one just to see how good it was. If HPI comes out with one, I might get that one too. lol.

@Xmoto16 - SO... NOT 5th scale. lol. Traxxas just released the 1/7th scale professional racer the X0-1 about an hr ago. 0-100mph in less than 5 seconds. Strictly a concrete or asphalt pro racing machine, so not that interesting to me, but a cool looking car nonetheless. And the new TQi with iphone app looks cool. :))
