I like this a LOT better! They should have NEVER left this movie up to that other director....total shame, especially for the Phoenix! You didn't even get to see the bird entity! ugh!
Maybe the reason why Ian Mckellan's Magneto moved the metal chess piece was because his will was too strong for him to accept the loss of his powers?
So maybe that is how the cure works - it's all tied into will power. Rogue was willing to believe that the cure got rid of her powers and so it worked for in that level.
But for Magneto, he was not willing to believe that the cure had robbed him of his powers. So in his case, the cure failed.
I don't think the cure worked for real. Remember, Jimmy powers only worked when close to mutants. Perhaps the cure therefore only works for a limited amount of time.
I thought the "cure" failed? Magneto moved the chess piece at the end and he got the same thing. Wouldn't this mean they will all get them back? Maybe that's wrong, if anyone knows I would be interested.

You've got it totally wrong. He doesn't have to be a mutant for leeches power to take affect. Leeches power can harness & manipulate any type of energy not just mutant energy.
read the comics...nothing can remove Juggernauts powers...they're magical. Leech can only affect mutant powers. Not to mention he should've been green.
I'm a massive fan of the comics so I know what I'm talking about. Leeches power suppresses any type of energy power not just mutant power. The fact that he wasn't green isn't such a big deal. Its a movie based on the comic books so it was never gonna be a true adaptation that would have been impossible for any movie maker to convert it to its fullest. There so much you can can get away with in phantasty books but some elements if converted to reality just wouldn't work as well or appear goofy.

I see your point. But you can't compare Nightcrawler to Leech. Nightcrawler is a well loved second generation x-man whos very much a part of the x-men history. Leech is a nobody compared to him. With Leech its all mainly about what he can do. With Nightcrawlers its the whole package that make him what he is. His faith, teleportation, demon look, humour e.t.c

If they do a fourth movie after the magneto & logan spin off's they should introduce Bishop and have Mr. Sinister & Sentinels as the baddies. Sinister having created a exact protype of Scott and Jean (if they are really dead) I vote Samuel L Jackson to play Bishop. Anyone agree?

yeah no shit. The action was good but they took one of the best comic book stories and completely botched it. Not to mention Juggernaut is not a mutant so leach's powers won't affect him... I was pretty disappointed in how Juggy looked too

You've got it totally wrong. He doesn't have to be a mutant for leeches power to take affect. Leeches power can harness & manipulate any type of energy not just mutant energy.

read the comics...nothing can remove Juggernauts powers...they're magical. Leech can only affect mutant powers. Not to mention he should've been green.

I'm a massive fan of the comics so I know what I'm talking about. Leeches power suppresses any type of energy power not just mutant power. The fact that he wasn't green isn't such a big deal. Its a movie based on the comic books so it was never gonna be a true adaptation that would have been impossible for any movie maker to convert it to its fullest. There so much you can can get away with in phantasty books but some elements if converted to reality just wouldn't work as well or appear goofy.

true. What issue shows his ability to supress any power? I still don't buy that he can supress Juggernauts power. I've been a huge x-men fan (mainly just the claremont years 80's-early 90's)for nearly 20 years and I don't recall that ever happening...unless I just forgot about it

oh yeah...to me the fact that he wasn't green is like making Nightcrawler look like an average human... one of the things that makes leech's character is that he is green and doesn't look remotely human, which is why he and the other morlocks lived in the sewers...remember? And I stand corrected...looks like he can supress other non mutant powers according to wikipedia...I still doubt Juggy would be though :P

I see your point. But you can't compare Nightcrawler to Leech. Nightcrawler is a well loved second generation x-man whos very much a part of the x-men history. Leech is a nobody compared to him. With Leech its all mainly about what he can do. With Nightcrawlers its the whole package that make him what he is. His faith, teleportation, demon look, humour e.t.c

it was just a point....I would've rather seen a green inhuman leach. He may be a secondary character, but was a large part of the overall story in X3. Either way....X3 was a let down

If they do a fourth movie after the magneto & logan spin off's they should introduce Bishop and have Mr. Sinister & Sentinels as the baddies. Sinister having created a exact protype of Scott and Jean (if they are really dead) I vote Samuel L Jackson to play Bishop. Anyone agree?

That's not too bad... You have to admit it would be easier for them to make the 4th movie if it ended like that. How can you have X-Men without some of the most important characters? (ie. Scott, Jean & Xavier)

Xavier didn't die. And as for Scott, did we see a dead body? NO. Wolverine only said I THINK she killed Scott that's all. As for Phoenix, come on this is a creature that can sit in the sun all day long.

I hate brian singer's work. He favors wolverine over all the rest and that is bogus. Besides he will never be allowed to do another x-men movie again (at least a sequel to x-men 3 that is). There is gonna be an apocalipse made after the wolverine movie.
