I've got kinda the same thing in my S-10. Subs are layed out about the same but the guts of the box are different. This summer when it gets warm out I'm upgrading from my 4 12" CVX to 4 15" L7's that I just got. Gonna have to change up the design to make them fit of course. And I have to do a little amp shopping.

@crdjsph I have owned both CVX's and L7's before. And your right the CVX definitely puts out much clearer sounding bass. I like the much harder hits and lower levels of the L7's though. If you get the right amp and tune it right the L7's are still crisp sounding though. Definitely not as clear sounding at CVX but hits hella hard.

@crdjsph And that is what a lot of people don't look at. Compare a 15" L7 and an 18" Fi BTL. There really isn't a huge difference in the surface area of the cone because the L7 is square. But I am going to splurge on the amps I am going to use to run the L7's and tune them just right so it is a VERY slight downgrade in clarity, but a HUGE upgrade in the actually pounding of the bass.

sealed is clean tight bass, and ported is all spl. hard hittin bass. want people to hear u comin, port that shit. your box is made u said, all u can do is 3inch ports one for each speaker. unless the box is quite small jst keep it sealed.

Loud as hell because of small airspace only truck cabin

VERY hard to steal!

subs aren't even able to be seen at all unless you pull the seats up!
