China isn't a Maoist country and hasn't been one since 1978, neither do they support/fund/whatever communist activities.
During the 2008 elections in Nepal, the most popular party was the maoist party who got 30.52% votes. The second most popular party in Nepal, the social-democrat party, only got 22.79% votes, followed closely by another communist party, the CPN (unified marxist-leninist), who got 21.63%
The Nepalese people clearly want a communist government, so let them. Its democracy.

China was unified by Mao Zedong as a communist nation and even today is still heavily influenced by Maoist principles taught by Mao and is far from a democracy due to all the censorship and restrictions that make it similar to fascism.
I find it funny that Nepal is using a democratic method of deciding whether or not they want communism/Maoism, I personally prefer the Leninist ideals of the CPN and wish they had more influence because Maoism is a lousy way to run a country look at China!

What you are saying, in terms of its correctness, is analogous to insisting that George W. Bush is a black Jew from Ethiopia. You are evoking "Stalin" because it works in the same way as "boogeyman" -- in other words, it is ignorant scaremongering. If you have problems with CPN(M) and Prachandra at least try to come up with educated reasons why instead of inflicting us with a gospel of fear.

He has actually said that he derives his ideology from Lenin, not Stalin. "Stalin had made a serious mistake of ideology", he says. He has removed monarchic dictatorship, and he seems like a stabalising force within that country.

The Maoist Government should:
* End Feudalism in rural Nepal and redistribute the land among the poor.
* Get an US$ 10 BILLION loan from China to develop, build roads, dams, wind power and basic infrastructure.
* Obtain Foreign Investments from China and India, set up special economic zones to put its people to work.
* Adopt the Chinese model for "Socialism with Nepalese Characteristics" and build a stable economy.
* Bring in more tourists, especially from China.

Good leaders do not kill people and go to war, they use their brain to make a deal. I think he can rule world the world with guns, all I hear all the time from him is "if u don't get what we want, we will go back to war" its just lame thing to hear from the person who dare to run the country.

The biggest flaw with Communism is that it doesn't take into account the depth of Universal Design. They want to create a classless equal society, but they do not take into account stuff like Genetics, variations in human abilities and inborn nature. These communist idiots are like fanatic terrorists without any deep spiritual insights. It is a shame that Nepal has become a victim to this communists virus despite having so many Hindus.

The key disadvantage for any dictarship government is that there is no opposition party. In other words, no one can effectively supervise hwo this government works. If there is corruption, no one can stop it.
Communist may appear high efficient and work well during the early days after they control the government. But the problems without oppistion will occur as time passes. These problems happended to communists in Russia and China.
Hope Nepal communist can find a way to avoid it.

That's the key question. It looks like they are heading in the right direction right now, with a variety of different parties having been elected into the constituent assembly. The voters have chosen socialism, but not socialism dictated by a single party.
