by the way there is a sedan version of this little smirf 4 doors a trunk total weight= 1040kg ! even though its a crazy fun cocain sniffer car..but only when u loose all the floor matts rear trunk tools and spare tier ,rear seat, remove the exhust filter and replace the muffler with a wide cat back sport exhust and stiffen up the suspention,add a 95 octain fule and change the airflow sucktion,and if possiable try to remap it ofcouse we are talking on a Manual gear box clio

I acually own the slower and heavier version of this one its a 1.4 16V V4 with almost a 100hp+ i made some modifications on it a sport exhaust and cold air intake sucking air from the projector used to be, the most important mod is to remove the catalist converter we usally call it " enviroment filter" haha stupid name in short words i drove V6's and V8's but this one is never much diffrent and not a boring car, yes it tend to over heat in summer and yes it need loads of service but i LIKE !!

Considering the GT 500 was only 3 seconds faster around the track than the Clio, while costing more than twice as much, I think you get the point. With the little Clio you don't expect it to be fast, but in a 500 horsepower beast (almost) you expect it to be FAST !

There were reasons why they ragged so much on the GT 500.

It's quite a small V8 - only 3.5 litres. And it's going to be mid-engined, like the old Clio V6. Go on Top Gear's website and look it up. But Renault putting big engines in the back of tiny cars is nothing new; they've been doing it for years.

Sammy...you can't compare a 182 with a fab VRS. They're miles different, the 182 is not only quicker but it's sharper and alot better handling. The fab VRS is just a "sporty deisel" at the end of the day!
