Thats the whole point of the game IMO. Ive spent a combined +600 hours on this game and still havent maxed my characters out with elite armor and aesir armor. And after I do Im gonna go back and with my memory module make six new character of opposite alignment.

any tips for this game? cuz i've been playing as a commando, 300 dmge on my staff, 110 on my rifle and its a slug weapon. i seem to die a hell of a lot and actually use the valkyrie picking me up to help with cooldown... any tips to prevent anymore untimely deaths of baldur?
commandos are very suceptable to death at the lower levels. Max out the right branch of your skill tree. That up the plasma damage and the battle cry increases you ballistic damage. Get a plasma rifle and supplement it with rifle damage and ballistic lock distance ruins. When you get near a group of enemies execute a battle cry. Your damage will nearly double and you have an easier time taking enemies out. Combos build slow on a commando but you only need 1 at a time.
A plasma rifl is better than pistols or a cannon. Pistols empty ammo too quickly and cannons slow you down. The right tree also give you a spide with a plasma turret. My level 50 commando can waste The Everlasting Hate in 15 seconds.
everlasting hate? also i like the bio engineer better. i'm about to get my elite items and i can kick the shit out of pretty much anything. Increased healing makes for extended fight times(unless there is a frost troll) and my weapon just owns... though i need to get a better gun, i've got plasma pistols right now and they cause almost no damage to the trolls now.
The Everlasting Hate is the Boss at the end of the World Serpent level. My commando can also take out GARM in the same amount of time. The only boss who's a little difficult is Hod, because he flips everytime he's shot. So for him I make sure I have my sentient weapon charged up before fighting. Bio is cool, but the class that has the easiest time is a lvl50 Commando. And the commando isnt even my fav. class. Mine is the bezerker
Nope, not at all. With the commando and berzerker ur right, but the champion is the "well rounded" fighter. He has decent hp, decent defense, decent damage, and is best with both melee weapons AND ranged weapons.
Thats kinda what I meant that he was a well rounded player, but his favored ballistic weapon is the pistol. After playing my bio for a while longer now I actually feel he's the best at using both melee and ranged. That being said I still mean that the bezreker is unmatched in melee and commando is unmatched in ballistic, but now I prefer my lvl50 bio to my champion

Theres two things you need to do to understand the story. First finish the game. The story seems cobbled together until the end when it all makes sense. Secondly read the Norse mythology story of Ragnarok...thats wat this story is adapted to futuristic settings. But dont read the mythology first or you ruin the suprise of the game.

I don't have it but i've read 2 reviews of it, one form a 360 exclusive magazine, and a multiformat. The multi format gave it 74 (or something close to that) and the the xbox one gave it 68. So on average its about a 7/10, the main complaint they had was the fact that when you die yo get a long cutscene (the xbox mag said it was 20 seconds long) that is unskippable, this is especially annoying because sometimes it's near impossible to not die. They still said it's a pretty fun game though.
It is unskippable but you dont have to restart the level. And get the armor weapons and charms and you can survive anything if you play the right strategy. I can go through the whole campaign and almost all of the teleport chapters without dying

Whoa now, I am not a fanboy, I only got a PS3 because I am a MGS fan, and I wanted MGS4. I love the 360, I loved Mass Effect, I loved Gears of War, I just have a PS3 cause all my friends have 360, I can just go over to theire place to play a 360.
I don't normally go onto videos and bash them, but the game was average, story=average and never gets going, and the gameplay was kinda innovative, but yet was not astounding.
The gameplay is pretty damn good in my opinion. It's not supposed to be like mass effect, I don't know how that point seems to be reaching people. However, the reason that the story never gets going is because it is a trilogy, as previously announced, the game will be a trilogy, so the story won't get going till the second game and then it will finish in the third, not really that complex... You just have to understand that the intent is to make fans of Champions and Baldar's gate happy.
Well... Aside from the part with keeping CoN and BG fans happy, I agree! It's a trilogy and though the story may feel incomplete, it is only the first part of a 3-part story...
i really don't care on other peoples opinions, i just think this game will kickass, i mean c'mon your like a friggin badass viking god with a sword and a gun(almost like devil may cry hehe) i just cant wait to see g4's review of this game.
I havent played the game but upon viewing this video I would probably give about 6 out of ten if your going to buy this game for the norse mythology then I would strongly advise you to buy viking: battle for asgard wich I do own and would give nine out of ten
i downloaded the demo over xbox live and was sadly siddapointed... well i guess it was ok but u cant change the camera... u attack with the right thumb stick so cant change the camera angles like in most 3rd person games.. that really bothered me (N)

i played the demo, fucking awsome ass game, Defender/Champion FTW, gameplays great, some issues with invisible walls, seems like only paths you see are ones you get, and the camera thing isnt that big of a prob, i actually like the stick melee system, all in all id give the game a solid 9/10. The demo is in the xbox live marketplace, its 1.1gig download, and if you wanna unlock the locked class click on locked one 4 times real fast then move stick right or left, very cool glitch.
it was fucking awsome, played the defender using the glitch and then played the champion, champion was more favorible for me because it gave me a wider choice of how i was going to spec and how i would use my playing style, but champion does tend to die a bit in the beggining, especially against huge ass robots.

Whoa now, I am not a fanboy, I only got a PS3 because I am a MGS fan, and I wanted MGS4. I love the 360, I loved Mass Effect, I loved Gears of War, I just have a PS3 cause all my friends have 360, I can just go over to theire place to play a 360.
I don't normally go onto videos and bash them, but the game was average, story=average and never gets going, and the gameplay was kinda innovative, but yet was not astounding.

The gameplay is pretty damn good in my opinion. It's not supposed to be like mass effect, I don't know how that point seems to be reaching people. However, the reason that the story never gets going is because it is a trilogy, as previously announced, the game will be a trilogy, so the story won't get going till the second game and then it will finish in the third, not really that complex... You just have to understand that the intent is to make fans of Champions and Baldar's gate happy.

I havent played the game but upon viewing this video I would probably give about 6 out of ten if your going to buy this game for the norse mythology then I would strongly advise you to buy viking: battle for asgard wich I do own and would give nine out of ten

i downloaded the demo over xbox live and was sadly siddapointed... well i guess it was ok but u cant change the camera... u attack with the right thumb stick so cant change the camera angles like in most 3rd person games.. that really bothered me (N)

i played the demo, fucking awsome ass game, Defender/Champion FTW, gameplays great, some issues with invisible walls, seems like only paths you see are ones you get, and the camera thing isnt that big of a prob, i actually like the stick melee system, all in all id give the game a solid 9/10. The demo is in the xbox live marketplace, its 1.1gig download, and if you wanna unlock the locked class click on locked one 4 times real fast then move stick right or left, very cool glitch.

it was fucking awsome, played the defender using the glitch and then played the champion, champion was more favorible for me because it gave me a wider choice of how i was going to spec and how i would use my playing style, but champion does tend to die a bit in the beggining, especially against huge ass robots.
