  • I'm thinking of putting a 5900kv in my e jato. Do you think it would have enough torque/power or just speed with that setup?

  • Does the tranny feel like there is a tough spot with like resistance when you turn the spur gear after doing the single speed?

  • @Mr2650birdy: No, everything rolled very smoothly. You should check your transmission if you're experiencing any resistance. Also check transmission and wheel bearings.

  • @finbilly: Thanks yeah I found a rough piece of plastic on the tranny wall that was catching up. I put a MMM 2650 in my Jato :D Lol now its fun.

  • Did the 2 speed trans make it faster?

  • I have the same motor laying around here. I'm afraid it would die in my Erevo what would you think?

  • yours make the same sound as mine

  • how can i convert the jato into single gear tranmission and also to have reverse.

  • check out E jato backflip, nice vid!!!!

  • how much did it cost to convert to electric?

  • This one of the best e jato vids on you tube. I should put mine up. I got the mamba max with a 4800 medusa v2, 6000 mah smc 11.1. I totally did away with the top plate cuz I think it looks dumb all butchered up. Instead I used the axial ax10 servo mounts. Seems a whole lot more durable. I'll post a Vid of it.

  • wow! how long of a run do you get with a 8000 mah battery?

  • It depends ofcourse from your setup and driving style, but 45 minutes easily.

  • hey tryvon

  • hey grayson

  • tell to

  • i did a nitro to electric conversion with an evader st and it sucked cause it weighed to much. only went 20mph

  • wouldn't it have been eaiser to buy a rustler??

  • Ofcourse, but I think you're missing the whole point of doing an nitro -> electric conversion.

  • i have actully always wanted to do a nitro electric convertion

  • wow long is the lehner motor

  • The Basic series Lehner motors are 38mm long.

  • @finbilly can you bash with this motor?

  • That thing is sweet! How much better than a rustler do you think it handles?

  • Quite a lot actually - the front/rear weight distribution on Jato is much better. It's not "rear heavy" like Rustler so it does not wheelie so much and it corners better.

  • Thats what I was thinking. That I why I made my rustler mid engined. It handles MUCH better now, still probably not quite as good as the jato. Anyways, sweet project man.

  • Lipo? Looks like it handles better than my VXL Rustler. Kinda drifts like my speed-t is the rear diff locked?

  • Yes, 8000mAh 11.1V

Jato does handle better that Rustler and diff was not locked.

I tested a gyro in this video, it helped a lot with the drifts. See link at the video description.

  • jato 3.3 doesnt have revrse is that true

  • Yes, that's true.

  • thanks

  • that stinks, y did u get rid of it?

  • Well, Jato isn't very good off-roader and I'm more into off-road driving, so it became obvious that I needed something else...

  • OMFG! The Jato is just a small rustler with nitro and a few hop ups.

  • The Jato is bigger than the Rustler and it has better parts than it.

  • Really? I always thought that the rustler was just a bigger heaveier jato. Thanks.

  • sweet vid that thing hauls ass it slides around the corners damn nice for 2wd! *****

  • hell yeah that thing is fast, awesome vid!5/5

  • you can buy a jato an convert to electric

  • thats the rustler with a jato body, they didnt make an E-Jato yet.

  • tinyurl(dot)com/462qzk

  • Lapinlahti, ei jumaliste. :D :D

  • Joo, sitä on tullut näitä maailman metropoleja kierreltyä...

  • is it faster than the rustler vxl?

  • You can't really compare electric cars like that because speed is determined mainly from the size of the battery you throw in to the car.

  • finally some one made an e-jato, bin waiting for some one to do it

  • This is not the first one, I've seen few made before.

  • How much better you think this handles over my rustler?

  • From my experience Jato handles slightly better on asphalt than Rustler. Can't comment off-road handling since I haven't gotten off-road with Jato. :)

  • What tires are on that jato? Anacondas?

  • Anacondas at the rear and Victory's at the front (just experimenting).

  • Damn thats fast....

  • It's pretty decent :)

Unfortunately the logger's memory was filled when I was just doing first practice runs and getting familiar with the car. I didn't have the chance to clear the memory for the second 8000mAh pack, from which this clip was shot.
