  • Strong men also cry...

    but to this? Wasn't impressed.

  • what song is this?

  • How is this emotional?

  • if it wasn't for thom, i never would have known. great dancer, very lovely.

    thom's better, though.

  • i can through myself around a room to

  • @gustabusta24 You're truly an idiot if you think that's what this guy was doing. The amount of body control and technique he showed is simply stunning. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself if you want to avoid showing people just how ignorant you are.

  • @danakerman its called a sense of humour, can you please find one

  • Im sorry but i really dont understand how this can bring someone to tears. where on earth is the 'beauty' in someone leaping around a stage?

  • @Ellisgyl Like any form of art, there are people who either 'get it' or not. Maybe that judge guy had a background on dancing, body expression or something like that and could appreciate all the technique and emotion put into the performance. I have no knowledge at all about this, so I just think the guy is pretty good.

  • Gayest fucking thing ever

  • @zerstorenser Is it really necessary to be like that? Way to hate on a person that has a beautiful talent.

  • @natlove4 It's not a talent.

  • Adam. (:

  • errr... Cry because of a dance? :| Yeah it's a pretty good dance though i don't understand much about ballet... but cry? c'mon... :|

  • @OneManAndHisToaster it's not ballet.. it's contemporary.. and i cried when i first watched this.. some dances can do stuff to people.. i can't really explain it but it happens.. sometimes its so beautiful and there is so much emotion that you just cry..

  • It's not gay to cry, that's just fucking stupid, but I do think he exaggerated it a bit to much. but yes it was beautiful

  • i dont think i've ever looked at dancing as being something you can cry to, but after watching him cry it made me see how dancing can do that, like that kid really put so much into that, its like when you dont think somethings funny until you watch someone laugh at it, like you need to see the humour through another persons eyes, that kid really was good, damn lol

  • Far too exaggerated! (I am referring to Adam Shankman)

  • @reckonertime gay people cry alot when they see men

  • This is so dumb!

  • gay

  • I dont get it.

  • thi is weird

  • Um...I'm pretty sure this is Billy Bell...Come on y'all, a good dancer is a good dancer! I'lll always be a fan!

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex and @ohwellyeah2, stop arguing cuz both of you are as right as ye r wrong. Individuall opinion ftw :D!

  • who the hell would dislike this ? lol

  • Comment removed

  • What is the name of the song he dances?

  • @zupernova007 To Build a Home of The Cinematic Orchestra ft. Patrick Watson

  • What an absolute loser! both the dancer and the judge are so full of shit. He chooses some soft ass coldplay track which makes the crowd go into a frenzy. Plus the judge is being paid for good television so he throws a couple of tears in there. Reality Check: He is ONLY dancing. Nothing more. This is lame as it gets and I cannot believe people lap this up as "moving" and "emotional". He looks like a god damn crab at 0:30 FFS. Dancing is lame and so is this awful show. Pointless drivel.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex Wow. Comments like these are so sad to read. If you can't see the emotion and spirit in dancing, that's fine. It's not for everyone. But to look down on the people who feel those things...that's just unfair and uncool.

  • @ohwellyeah2 Dancing has never and will never embody true human emotion. It is a bunch of choreographed dance moves done to some cheesy song. If that makes some lying piece of shit cry because he is being paid thousands of dollars then I am fully able to call that shit out. People like you assume that anyone who says dancing isn't emotive must have no heart. That's BS and I advise you to type this into youtube and watch SRV Voodoo Child Live at the Mocambo. That is TRUE emotionand you know it.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex Well, actually, I didn't say that "anyone who says dancing isn't emotive must have no heart". I said that anyone who condescends those who DO think it is emotive is not being fair. I don't get why you think that live music can be an emotional experience but moving expressively to music cannot be. Some people would watch that video of SRV and not feel anything the same way you don't feel anything about dance. Does that invalidate your feelings/thoughts?

  • @ohwellyeah2 What the hell is being fair? if you mean that dancing should be free of criticism then you are sorely mistaken. Everything and especially dance is open to critique and in this case I was spot on, and reading most of the other comments the majority agree with me. I will not debate as to whether music is more or less expressive than dance because that would be stupid.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex I'm not saying that dancing should be free of criticism. Just like music shouldn't be free of it. Just like television shows, movies, etc shouldn't be free of it. What I'm saying is that in your original comment, you didn't criticize the dance. You criticized dancing, as a way of expression, and the people who enjoy it. And you didn't even make legitimate points! You just said "dancing is lame". And what I'm saying is that your argument is lame.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex

1 - This isn't coldplay it's The Cinematic Orchestra ft. Patrick Watson.

2 - I cried when I first saw this dance and I'm not on TV.

3- Yes this is ONLY dancing. Nothing more. This dance, like all raw, emotional dances, touches people. Dance is the visual representation of music and life.

Lastly - Dance represents the soul which is something you obviously don't have. If you think dancing is lame and you hate the show, that's your opinion. But I don't get why you're here then.

  • @dancesingdance 1. The music doesn't matter. It is all the same, long sweeping orchestra music which ALWAYS leads to a crescendo. Predictable doesn't even describe it. 2. Harden the fuck up. If this makes you cry then the real world isn't going to be very kind to you. 3. Dance doesn't 'touch' anyone. It is merely another way to enjoy music and no dance has ever come to define a generation. That's what music does and music ALWAYS comes before the dance, that is true creativity and emotion.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex hahahaha you're so out of it. you're trying to mix together personal bias and baseless claims into a coherent argument but it all comes out as irrelevant filler. you even numbered them!

'that is true creativity and emotion' hahahahahahaha

  • @UTsmashclub After checking out your channel I don't think you have any ground to comment on any artistic endeavours. I know you probably took 3 hours to word your response so you looked intelligent over the internet but please spare yourself the hassle. Perhaps a nice chilled game of Super Smash Bros. would calm you down? Other than that I don't think a nerd debating a musician on the arts is going to end well for you.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex hehehehe sorry about that, i was under my club's account.

essentially you're saying that because i enjoy video games i am unfit for creative reasoning? that's quite a jump. if you are a musician, and i hope the best for you, it is really sad that you don't understand the skill in any craft, dancing in this case, that aims to express whatever passion boils inside a person. i'm saying you lack artistic perception when it comes to others' art/creativity.

  • @accordionthief it's dance. That's it, dancing. Nothing more, nothing less. The comments here are virtually 50/50 with people saying "gayest thing ever" or "omg, this totes made me cry when I watched this" It's not even about dancing as a whole it is about this particular cliched dance. Most modern dancers (breakdance, shufflers, etc.) would laugh at this shit.

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex Spoken like someone who doesn't TRULY understand the potential power of art in its many forms. First of all breakdance and shuffle is more appropriately called urban dance or popular dance than modern dance. Modern dance evolved from a classical background. Second, dance - just like painting or music or acting or poetry - has the power to move people to tears if executed well for a receptive audience. Saying "it's just dancing" shows you don't understand that.

  • @danakerman I think you'd have a hard time convincing the average joe or a lifelong dance instructor that shuffling isn't a modern dance style. Your talking out your ass and you know it. Famous Painters/Artists: Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Warhol. Famous Musicians: Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain. Famous Actors: I'm sure you know a few. Famous Poets: Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, Slyvia Plath. Famous Dancers: Billy Elliot? Perhaps?JK Noone cares.Dancing is culturally insignificant. Face facts

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex Just because a style of dance happened in modern times doesn't make it Modern Dance -- that is a category that denotes a particular style, not an all encompassing term for a time. Famous Dancers: Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Barishnikov, Alvin Ailey, George Balanchine, Isadora Duncan, Merce Cunningham, Twyla Tharp, Anna Pavlova, Vaslav Nijinsky, etc. Your inability to name them, much less their contributions, only points to your ignorance, not their insignificance.

  • @danakerman You are clearly out of touch with the mainstream and you are heavily deluded if you honestly believe dancing plays any significant cultural role in Western nations in the 21st Century. Apart from certain countries where certain dances have come to signify their culture, such as the Haka in New Zealand, dancing in the classical sense is on the very steady decline and has been for at least 30 years. Try to concern yourself with relevant artistic pursuits because this isn't one of them

  • @accordionthief Also, you are slightly entitled to creative reasoning, just don't expect anyone to listen to you. It is essentially the same as me arguing about which pickup truck is the best but I have no experience with them whatsoever. It should be much clearer to you now but go ahead tell me about those boiling passions. Also I repsect alot of creative pursuits even though I am not practising them and my creative perception is just fine TYVM. Subscribe to my channel and in a week I'll show u

  • @xTurquoiseGlazex Don't listen to TourquoiseGlazex, this guy is a troll.. Very negative person. Look at his "1" uploaded video and see what you think.. haaaa

  • Gayest thing ever

  • WHERE DID U COME FROM HONEY

  • My absolute FAVORITE feeling is seeing/taking in an artist getting choked up over another artist's work.

  • Billy is so amazing and hot temale train all over him! Such talent, reminds me of Travis his organic down to earth performance touched Adam and me as well :')

  • he just wants to do him

  • @butternuttt youre a jerk! after watching something as amazing as billy's solo and seeing someone's honest reaction, how can you make such an ignorant comment?

  • i think everyone loved billy but they just thought he was atuomatically safe cause he was really good

  • @ZarenaStar1231 yeah hes good but when he wa sin the bottom with lauren you knew he was goin cause she was the shit!

  • I love those moments when you witness something really beautiful and you get so so emotional and cry.

  • I love that this is titled 'Adam Shankman'. lol. Adam stole the show with his dramatic reaction!

  • his so cute nawww :)

  • Adam is always so over dramatic haha. Gotta love him.

  • Calm down, Adam. lol Billy was sick, though. I could watch him all day.

  • LOL Billy must've been amused by their reactions.

  • he was lap dancing miley cyrus

  • What is the mosic Billy is dancing to?

  • @russo9013 *music

  • Whichh season was this ??

  • im not a big fan of adam but if it's gay for men to get emotional then babies are gonna go extinct because everyone cries

  • @EtiquettePrincess cause he's a dancer too that he might have his personal feeling 'bout billy's move

  • billy should have been in the top 4 instead of adechike... he is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @eslomovits well, if the voters had no decision billy would have gone wayy farther, but the voters just didnt see him well, he was in the bottom WAYYY too much so the judges thought it would be best to let him go. plus it was a easy desicion seeing how it was a double elimination against lauren and jose(who i knew wasnt going farther).

  • @TheGuitarcoverperson yeah, that makes sense. he was also hurt, so...

  • is adam shankman gay?

  • @MegaSoftballgirl123 is the sky blue?

  • @abster17 haha good one

  • name of the song?

  • @jasonlover15 Cinematic Orchestra ( Patrick Watson ) - To Build a Home

  • this video should be called "Billy Bell Friggin Rocks " not Adam Shankman. The video shows billy's talent and just adam spazzing.

  • i so sad he got voted off he is amazing and so adorable

    like a puppy :D

  • lmfaoooooooooz.

  • this is the best solo ever.. he doesn't even do any tricks or flips or long pirouettes, and still it touches you as hell...i can understand adam...no doubr...

  • Billys back on this season!!! SO excited to see him!!

  • @hellagood7

Actually it's The Cinematic Orchestra melody To Build A Home taken from their 2007 ablum Ma Fleur. Patrick Watson co-wrote and performed though.

  • awwwww :(

    wth?

  • @hellagood7 patrick watson - to build a home

  • @rubyninja100

yo, the guys name is Adam Shankman, he is an amazing choreographer, movie director and dancer..hes not a perve. hes emotional because hes feminine....

  • @desidol22 It's feminine to be emotional? Bullshit.

  • @cruzaroni ok look every1 knows says being overly emotional is attributed to females... and i am not saying "manly men" never get emotional and blah blah blah, and here i am defending shankman because some idiot called him a perve and what do i get? another criticism..

  • @rubyninja100 That guy crying is Adam Shankman. He has contributed a lot to the American dance community just to ensure that talents like this do not go unrecognized. And for him to see this then unknown dancer, Billy Bell, dancing with this much talent, it must have made him feel that all his efforts are paying off. Either that or he simply sees the beauty of this difficult piece.

It's a shame that all you can see is a man crying and all you can deduce is that he wanted to rape the boy. :(

  • @BoBlackheart2 I think Billy is the embodiment of young flexibility with exuberance, beauty and passion. After watching so many marginal and crap performances, it must be overwhelming to see someone bring the dance!

  • @rubyninja100

    What is wrong with u?

U have a VERY sick mind

Is that what u seriously thought of when u first saw this video, if so please go to a psychiatrist.....u need help.

  • what is the dancer name? he is kind of amazing

  • @nobreakpeter163978

    Billy Bell!!

  • @nobreakpeter163978 BIlly Bell... and yeah that's really his name

  • haha Adam is great!

  • I really think he went home too early!!! He was amazing

  • @Shakirrito He was sick, so he couldn't stay.

  • ohhh really??? I did not know that thanks for the info!!

  • billy was AMAZING!
