I have an Insight also and you can change the nav system so the map rotates with you instead of North being always up. Check out your owners' manual.

Also, why would you drive a hybrid and then set the A/C to 61-65F... that seems counterproductive unless you drive around in the summertime wearing a jacket.

thanx for the post, could you have a passenger flim the nav system while you drive to show what you are talking about with the map not moving. If not could you give a specific review of the Navi system?

My friend has a civic with navigation and it follows like you siad the mercedes does perhaps you can change the setting???

also when are you going to do a exterior/interior review of things liek the cargo room and stuff like that

Thank you for the helpful review...my Pontiac comes off lease next month and I'm trying to decide between a 2010 Insight Ex or a 2010 Prius level II, which is less than $2,000 more...it seems like you cannot go wrong with either car so I'm having a hard time deciding!

But ultimately the rating of a car is within the eye of the beholder. I've been pretty happy with it so far, it's a fun drive and I have no regrets :)

Well, in my opinion, Jeremy Clarkson is one of the most wretched reviewers of all time. Motor Trend and Car & Driver, among others, had very positive things to say about the Insight II, and I've test driven the car and loved it - it drives like a non-hybrid in terms of steering and braking.

That said, Honda needs to knock the price down because the whole point was supposed to be price separation from the Prius and right now the EX is too close to the Prius package II to justify the EX.

Granted Jeremy always exaggerates...And is a complete tool...But what the hell do you mean it drives like a non-hybrid in terms of steering and braking? How does being a hybrid or not enter into it?

In any case, the reviews were negative, but if you like a car, you like it. (See - Cherokee)

The prius is disconnected youll hit a bump and not feel it in the steering, blame it on the electric assited steering so it has a "SMOOTH" feel but its disconnected. while the insight is more standard, its like a regular car....

Jeremy is into ferraris lambos, fast loud wasteful cars so i trust his opinion on the insight as much as i trust that the sky is brown.

Like the Prius, the Insight also has electric power assist steering instead of hydraulic power assist.

Yeah man, I don't know what the hell was wrong with me. I actually drove a Honda Insight at a dealer event, and I love it. I still like driving my Cherokee, but I avoid doing so, because of the ridiculously bad gas mileage. And Yeah, Jeremy Clarkson is a ballsack. Everyone should be driving hybrids.

I don't know why I was so fired up about this thing... Sorry for being an ass.
