Day of silence 2011 ended 49 minutes ago. I do not support the day. Personally, I don't get it. Where I am, only a small handful of people tried this, and none of them made it. Our school is against day of silence. I stand neutral on the topic. And to whoever made this video, you made a good point, but if you have a good point, you don't need to sensationalize it with music and monotone imagery. I'm going to bed now, I really need it.

@PhoenixPsilence I am not speaking out against the bullying or injury of anyone. What I AM speaking out against is the attempted naturalization/normalization of what is a disorder. That a person is born with it does not make it normal. I can be born with a cancerous tumor. Is it normal? No. I can be born autistic. Is it normal? I'm a little curious. As I understand the Day of Silence, it is a form of protest against gay-bashing and anti-gay violence (e.g., Matthew Sheppard and Laurence King). Is this video suggesting either that Christians should actually engage in such activity or that they should actively condone it? It seems a ludicrous position for a religion that supposedly promotes love, kindness and forgiveness.

You're wrong there Freedom as peer pressure is a strong influence on teens especially in a school environment. The need to "fit in" overwhelms most kids and so they follow what is trendy. This need to raise an illness almost to a godlike status is currently trendy and the "in" thing to do amongst schools. Yes that's wrong because it's not natural affection. Having love for someone of the same gender isn't wrong. There are other men that I love so much that I would sacrifice my own life for them. That is love. However, it is when it crosses over into the physical, romantic, or sexual that this love is destroyed, and all that exists is immoral lust. You're only going to Hell if you reject Christ. If you accept Christ then you'll go to Heaven. We aren't making your life miserable. Homosexuality is.

Because people of the same gender aren't emotionally compatible with each other. Only the male/female union has a complimentary match. A man and a woman fulfill each other. Two of the same gender do not. Also, romance between two of the same gender encourage abnormal behaviors and gender roles. It also encourages lust, which again is unnatural since the same gender is not physically compatible with itself. It's also a bastardization of TRUE same gender love which is about honor and respect.

God does not hate the homosexual, for homosexuality is NOT a chosen vice. But He most definitely does hate the unrepentant sinner, homosexual or not. But to make matters worse, the sins of the flesh are the worst sin of all in His holy eyes as they are a sin against the self, that self which is not only the temple of the Holy Spirit, but is also made in His Image. Our separated brethren (protestants) are confused and inconsistent because they have chosen to break from the fullness of truth and "interpret" scripture to their own ends. Just look at the mess the anglican church is in at it continues in it's self-destructive process. They continue to re-interpret what should always remain constant, truth, according to the whims of society. WRONG!
