  • Really bitchin demo man. Sweet tone and demonstration of each pedals abilities (while showing off your own abilities!). Great work and thanks for the SRV!

  • I really like that vibrato bro

  • Nice demo...Im rockin the tonebone classic, keeley comp, keeley bd-2..lookin to get a fuzzbox or a bbe freefuz. All amazing pedals!

  • in what position do the knobs of the BD-2 are?

  • @juancarlos262 Umm man it's been awhile since I made this video. It's a Keeley Modded BD-2 so It doesn't really sound anything like stock. What I do is start at 12'oclock on the knobs and then adjust it to where there's a slight volume increase from when the pedal is off. Then I dial in the amount of drive to where I like it.

  • thanks for the demo man.. I lol'd at the blow pedal

  • I then got a fender american deluxe plus a jcm 800 2203 from the year 1981. the fender mounts pickup lindy Fralin High Output. I advice you've been able to recreate seen as an exceptional sound as if they feel a few on the net! P: D my English is not the best as you understand! thank you so much!

  • hello, I heard your sounds! compliments are wonderful and sound almost identical to that SRV love! I wanted to tell counsel that the pedals should I take? Since I intend to make a serious day for me to order pedals pedals ..! order compressor overdrive reverb and overdrive another perhaps more motivated for yourself? which leads me advice? I saw then that even uttilizzi the fuzz that I kept in view but I noticed that together with other sounds played beautifully!

  • KLOTZ Cables??

    Nice review

  • keeley compressor super awesome ;) nice vid man!

  • Starting out with a good tone is paramount. Then add teh Keeley. Nice work.

  • What Camera are you using? the quality is emaculate!!!!!!

  • Which do you think is the better pedal, the Keeley TS808 or the Ibanez TS808HW (hand wired) ?

  • @mattacuk

I like the TS808HW. Its warmer and phatter.

  • @brettlac thanks, I may opt for the hand wired this time around :)

  • @mattacuk Yeah I've got a Landgraff OD and a Tube screamer made by a guy in town. They sound great. The Landgraff is the cleanest non tone altering od I've ever used. I do like the ts for lead boost if the mid range is dialed in on the pedal. Some of them are a little TOO mid heavy.

  • thats some beautiful tone man! what cables are you using though?

  • You didn't touch the TR-2 once in this video, did you?

  • GOOD WORK MAN !!!!! i feel like I need a cigarette after hearing those licks . . . .

  • thanks! I've had the Keeley BD-2 two times... maybe it's time to buy it again :/

  • What pedal board do you have?

  • Man I truly love your setup!!! do not get rid ever of them, if you want to get rid of them some day just CALL MEEE!!!! or just write me;-)

  • very nice nice tones.

those cables alone cost more than my MIM strat. lol

  • Great tone! Is your Vibrolux the custom shop one or an old one?

  • Its an orig 65. The reissues aren't bad either but way different, more of a modded modern version imo.

  • Damn... That keeley Comp+BD2+808 Got a damn near perfect cliffs of dover tone... Huge accolade to have a tone similar to that of EJ! Great vid and great tone man!

  • Thanks man! Funny thing was this vid is right about the time I did my vid of Cliffs of Dover... Check it out if you get a chance.

    Thanks!

  • Those were some beautiful tones man. . . Seems like that BD-2 was a keeper!! Would've liked to hear that fuzz cut loose though. . .

  • this is honestly some of the best tones i've heard. I have a marshall dsl 100 and a gibson sg and i've been trying to mess around with it to get it to sound similar...i plan on buying some of the pedals you use as well... thanks a lot :

  • Thanks man! I had a Marshall DSL 100 for awhile, I downsized to a DSL 50 which was a lot easier to dial in but still had a lot of noise. Try a couple mullards in the preamp section of the amp for a little "browner" sound. Ultimatley the sound you are probably going for with the marshall will come from a 59super bass or Plexi RI. A good compromise is the 59 fender bassman(thats what the first marshalls were based off of). Good luck!

  • great tone mate!!

i'm lokking for a fuzz and bluesy overdrive now for a while.

how much are the BD-2 and The Fuzz Head? and the compressor? i really love thos tones!

  • I just bought a Landgraff dynamic overdrive, best overdrive I've ever played..

  • hi brettlac, good tone! what are your pedal connectors? where did you get them? how much each? thanks!

  • They are Monster cables. I don't know if they are that great? The do the job and they last a really long time which is good cause they are spendy. They are like $25-30 a piece I think?? I like em cause they are gold plated and pretty noiseless.

  • Each little patch cable cost $25-$30? Wow

  • Have you tried the ts-808 before the bd-2 in the chain and use them together? I have those 2 same pedals and thats my fav tone. Try it out. Let me know what you think.

  • Currently my setup(changes all the time) is Keeley Comp, Ts-808, Bd-2, RC booster. I do like the bd-2 after the ts-808 to add a little more drive but not more mids. Good minds think alike! :)

  • I have watched your video several times now and I really love your tone! Few questions here--What amp are you playing thru? Have you tried the Fuzzhead after the TS 808 and BD? Do you use those pedal combos (ie TS + FF) for just leads? If not, when you are playing rhythm how do you boost your volume? Thanks so much--

    Bill

  • Thanks man! I'm playing thru my 65 Vibrolux in this vid, real low volum cause I'm in my office. I've tried all combinations with that Fuzzhead, it really works anywhere you put it. I currently have the fuzz head after my overdrives cause I'm using it as a lead/clean boost. When I'm playing rythym I'm all over my volume pot on my guitar. A lot of time I can play rythym with the same setting as my lead sound just by backing off my guitar volume... Looks like I'm out of space here.

  • Crazy demo ! Awesome playing, feeling and tone !!!! Is the FUzz Head stock or did you change caps ?

  • Thanks man! Yeah, I tried the other caps out but ended up with it stock. I also tried it with the internal gain control almost all the way down and it was like a killer version of a booster/treble boost pedal. The fuzz head def has tons of tones!

  • Thanks ! Keep rocking !
