  • The pressure it causes damaged my ears! I really wouldn't suggest using it if you value your ears.

  • its gross but cool at the same time

  • both myself and daughters are prone to stuffy noses (i've had 'post nasal drip') and have been on allergy meds all my life. my kids take allergy meds every day of the year to try to "prevent" infections. i've always felt guilty of this but then the guilt that comes w/them getting sinus infections immediately even if they miss ONE day makes me feel even worse so i just have continued the meds against my better judgement. question-is there any way they can choke on this? swallow it?

  • @steponmythroat I bought the NeilMed kit yesterday and used it for the first time. It is very easy to use. Keep the mouth open and everything should be fine.

  • Does this help for allergies

  • she is a champion

  • God is good to actually have that little angel see another day! A child with Cystic fibrosis is more prone to actually dieing at the age of 3-8 months!! I was just diagnosed with it, but I'm just a carrier of that heinous disease! So keep doing the good work!!

  • She's a brave little girl!! : )

  • brave little girl

  • My doc gave me one of these and I'm so oogy about water in my eyes or nose so I'm kind of dreading it! It's comforting to know that a 5 year old does this regularly and is so chill about it. I'll have to man up and just do it!

  • Very adorable girl. Hope she is doing okay.

  • That kid has guts, im 13 and I HATTEDDDD it.

  • Im trying to convince my boyfriend to try it, cuz it helps me a lot, but he is sooooooo reluctant!! Need to show him this video :P

p.s. the girl is sooooooo absolutely cute!!

Greetings from sunny Rome, Italy from a Polish girl! MWAH!!

  • happy nose

  • My doctor said that if you do it right then you will have some in your mouth.

  • Hey anyone watching... this ... be careful.... I learned to do this correctly... just now after much trial and error...... do not press as hard as this magnificent fellow is pressing.... it may be harmful to your ears..... i learned the hard way lol!

  • She's adorable!

  • What's the difference between this bottle and the neti pot?

  • @MusicalOxygen

I've used both and I prefer the squeezy bottle. The neti pot puts my head in an odd position.

  • now she game me the example to do dis hehe thank you prety girl

  • Wondering how is she doing these days? Can you update us? BTW, inhaling Sodium Bicarbonate can be a great help probably a cure for cystic fibrosis. Also IV vitamin C

  • She is so cute! These flushes are great! :o)

  • what a cute girl....

  • Great Job! My 4 year old niece is ready to try now and not afraid as she has seen Sidney do it! ;oD

  • A little awkward at first, but once you reap the benefits, you're hooked on this method. Carefully read the instructions in the pkg. Here's a hint that works for me: Just before you squeeze the bottle, take a deep breath, and with your mouth slightly open, simultaniously make a continuous "k-k-k-k-k" sound as you're squeezing the bottle, breathing OUT a little at a time as you do. This keeps me from breathing in and swallowing the solution. Sydney's a champ for showing us how, isn't she?

  • I JUST DID IT ITS GREAAT IM ALL CLEAR NOW!

  • Brave girl! Just bought this today for my sinuses..!

  • Is there a way to prevent it from coming into your mouth?

  • @dancer8164 There's a certain "sweet spot," at which you can tilt your head that makes less likely to get in your mouth. Make sure your head is turned all the way to the side as well.

  • Nice Video But Not fun video

  • This is a great video. We are holding a NeilMed Sinus Rinse video contest and would like you to submit your video. Please visit our website for more details.

  • :'( it really sucks that she has Cystic Fibrosis.

  • Wow. She's much more confident about sinus rinse than me. I have a few packets of the salt at home, but I don't like rinsing.

  • I just want to say what an amazing little girl! I am sure this is only the surface of what she must go through everyday in her CF fight. Hugs little cutie!

  • I have to use this because i had sinus surgery

but everytime i use it i have a charp pain in me left

ear. Please! If you have any suggestions as to what im

doing wrong or how to fix it i would greatly appresiate it

  • @KrazyKristen123

Try not to blow out as hard afterwards, and when you blow into a tissue, be extra careful not to close your nostrils, as that could lead to pain in your ear. Hope that helped!

  • Is that available over the counter?

  • I have one of these. I am going to take the plunge tonight, so to speak. :p

  • i just had septoplasty/rhinoplasty surgery a week and half ago(oct. 7) and my doctor recommended me to use this sinus rinse, i went out and bought it and was REALLY hesitant to use it cause it just seemed really weird, finally got the guts to try it out and WOW it is AMAZING!!! doctor recomended using it 2 times a day(morning and before bed) and i look forward all day to using it cause it is SUCH a relief!!!!

  • damn i could never do that. and she takes it like its no big deal O_O

  • she braver than me.

  • she is sooo cute

  • I have been so scared to do this (and I'm 32), and watching Sydney made me feel less frightened by it! Thank you Sydney! :)

  • OMG it seems so easy, i bought this product a few days ago after my aunt convinced me to just go and get the netipot, it is so gross, but i went to the store and looked for it, and I seen this product next to the netipot. The bottle seemed easier so I got this instead but still hesitant to use it. But now that I watch this, it doesn't seem as bad! I'm gonna go try it now thanks! I been having stuffy nose and couldnt sleep for the past week, I hope this works!

  • Hope it worked for you!

  • My son Griffin giggled and giggled while watching this! I think he wants to try to do it now. I'm trying to get him psyched up to try. Thank You! She's as pretty as can be too... What a gorgeous smile!

  • Thanks, I hope it helped him!

  • Be careful of this product. I have chronic sinusitis and I bought NeilMed last month and used the same day. The next day I had a very severe asthma attack. I had had only a mild asthma attack before two years ago. My Chest Disease specialist said cleaning the sinus with things like NeilMed might cause virus asthma and he doesnt advise his patients to do that. Be careful and seek medical advise before purchasing things like this.

  • That is really too bad, I hope you can find something else to help you. Thankfully, my daughter has been using this daily for 2.5+ years with no troubles only benefits.

  • Too bad she didn't start washing before her surgery, she may have prevented going under the knife. Hindsight:) Great to see her irrigating. I recommend you let her try it on her own. If she can brush her teeth by herself she can surely learn to wash her nose on her own. Great video!

  • That is so true, I wish we had known about it sooner. She did start using this for a couple of months before her surgery and it was amazing how much gunk would come out. Unfortunately even doing this 2-3 times per day wasn't enough to get rid of her massive infection so surgery was necessary. Hindsight is 20/20!

  • Oh ya, just wanted to let you know that she does do it on her own sometimes now that she is older. She usually wants me to do it for her and by now I can tell pretty well if one side needs more saline than the other. It will be nice when she completely takes over the sinus-rinse duty someday! :)

  • At first I didnt wanna do that to my nose so my dad showed me this video and it made me feel better

  • So glad it helped Cici!

  • Glad it helped! I know it seems strange to flush water up your nose but for many people it feels good and really helps!

  • I have shown this video to patients : children and adults with sinus problems and Sydney gives them the confidence to do the wash with less fear. Thanks for making this. Very helpful.

  • Glad you found this helpful! I have been amazed at how much these rinses have helped Sydney. She started doing rinses at age 4 and has been doing them daily since having sinus surgery in Feb. 2008.
