Dreamed I saw a desert rose Dress torn in ribbons And in bows Like a siren she calls (to me) Set me alight We'll punch a hole right through the night Everyday the dreamers die To see what's on the other side She is Liberty And she comes to rescue me Hope Faith, her vanity The greatest gift is gold
@zeedevastator for sure! I actually first heard the song from the "infamous Stringdusters" . I've been a U2 fan for a while but totally forgot this song. Check out the "infamous stringdusters" version. They are an amazing bluegrass band. Amazing music.
Excellent song from a great album. Few records, before or since, are this good. The Joshua Tree knocked me out. I played that record all day every day for months. And, it's still one of my favorites and one of the all time best recordings.
